New Tutorial ~ Lady Of The Night



 This tutorial is written for those with a working knowledge of PSP.
Supplies Needed:
 I am using Corel PSP X2 version but any version will do.
 Tube of choice.  I am using the seductive artwork of Olivia. You can purchase a license at CILM.

EBD Mask4 by Rachel  supplied HERE
Plugin Xero ~ Radiance
 Font used is Portfolio Regular, a pay font
 
This is a tag I created last year but hadn't written a tut for it so I was thrilled to stumble upon this new scrap kit.

 * * * * *
 
 Open a new transparent image 650 x 575 pixels. Flood fill white.
Open paper12, resize to 600 x 600 pixels. Open mask supplied. Minimize.
Apply the mask to this paper by Layers ~ New Mask Layer ~ From Image ~ find EBD mask4.  Source luminance checked. Apply.
Delete the mask on the layer palette. Layers ~ merge group. Copy 'n paste this mask layer on top of your white bg of your working image.
Duplicate this mask if you are using a white bg; do not duplicate if using a dark bg.
 
Using your preshape tool, eclipse ~ choose circle on toolbar, using black as the foreground color and the fill color nil,
using straight line style, width 15 px, draw a black circle approx. 475 x 475 px
Objects ~ align ~ center to canvas
Convert this layer to a raster layer.
Duplicate this circle, resize the copy by 95% twice.
 
Using magic wand, add mode, RGB, tolerance 10, feather 0, click inside the smaller black circle.
Selections ~ modify ~ expand by 10.
Open paper2, resized to 600 x 600 px, copy 'n paste the paper as a new layer.
Selections invert ~ delete ~ Selections ~ none.  Move the paper layer below both circle layers.
D/S both black circle layers using 0,0, 50, 5 blur, color black
 
Open music frame element, resize 10%. Copy 'n paste on top all layers.
Image ~ free rotate ~ 10 degrees to the right. Sharpen.
Using magic wand, click inside the music frame, selections ~ modify ~ expand by 10,
open paper5, resized to 500 x 500 px, copy 'n paste as a new layer on your working image
Selections ~ invert ~ delete.  Do NOT deselect yet.   Move paper layer below music frame
Open tube of choice. I resized the Olivia tube 110% smartsize ~ mirror ~ copy 'n paste
as a new layer on top of red paper layer ~ delete ~ Selections ~ none.
D/S tube if desired. Colorize this paper grey by Adjust ~ Hue 255, Saturation 0.
D/S the frame.
 Back to the tube layer, using plugin Xero ~ Radiance ~ standard setting or 128, 50, 128, 255. Apply.
 
Open main tube again, undo mirror, undo resizing, copy 'n paste as a new layer above all other layers on working image.
D/S as desired.
 
Now to decorate your tag, make a cluster using the roses, leaves, feathers & tag (element 1).
Resize the roses, leaves, & element 1 by 10%, the black dotted flower by 15% and the feather by 20%. Rotate using your pic tool (deformation tool).
Resize leaf2 by 10% and move beneath your cluster layers, duplicating & rotating as desired.
See reference tag. 
To make a black rose, I used the beige rose, colorized Hue 255, Saturation 0,
and Adjust Brightness minus 70, contrast 5 to darken the grey rose.
 
Make a cluster for the top of the music frame using the ribbon dot (15%), the black dotted flower (15%), and with the
gold ribbon 2 (25%), using the selection tool, random ~ point to point, draw a selection on the gold ribbon2 as below:

Copy 'n paste this portion of the gold ribbon beneath the ribbon/flower cluster, rotating using the pic tool.  See reference tag.
Resize the red hearts1 (20%).  D/S all the elements.
 
If desired, resize entire tag at this point using 90% smartsize, all layers checked.
 
  Add your copyright, watermark, URL and name.
 
 Merge all flatten or visible and save as a .png or .jpeg.

New Tutorial ~ Spring Blossom



This tutorial is written for those with a working knowledge of PSP.
Supplies Needed:
 I am using Corel PSP X2 version but any version will do.
Tube of choice.  I am using the gorjuss artwork of Suzanne Woolcott. You can purchase a license to use her art HERE.
Spring Melody frame found HERE

 UF Mask 2 by Sunf found HERE
Plugin: FM Tile Tools ~ Blend Emboss
Font for the name is 2Peas Fiddle Sticks

 Open a new transparent image 600 x 600 pixels. Flood fill white.
Open the spring melody frame, resize to 500 x 500 pixels. Copy 'n paste as a new layer
on your working image.
Using your selection tool, freehand selection ~ point-to-point, draw a selection around the center of the ribbon frame,
Open tube of choice, resize 50% depending on tube, copy 'n paste as a new layer.
Selections ~ invert ~ press delete ~ selections none.
Move the tube layer beneath the frame layer.
Duplicate the tube layer. On the original tube layer, use adjust blur ~ gaussian blur ~ radius 5.
Open the Spring Blossoms Cluster element, resize 13% approx.
Copy 'n paste as a new layer above the frame. Image, free rotate ~ rotate 15 degrees to left.
 
Open Spring Blossoms flower ~ resize 10% and again at 50%. Copy 'n paste on top of frame, adding as many as you desire,
rotating some using your pic tool or deformation tool. Sharpen. Add a very light D/S of 1,1, 35, 5blur, color 404040.
 
Open Spring Blossom paper 7, resize to 600 x 600 pixels, copy 'n paste as a new layer above the white background layer.
Open UFmask2, minimize.  On paper layer, go to Layers ~ new mask layer ~ from image ~ find UFMask 2, invert mask data checked.
Apply.  Delete mask from layer palette and layers, merge group.
Duplicate this mask layer.  On the duplicate layer (top layer of mask), use adjust blur, gaussian blur ~ radius 25.
On same layer, effects ~ texture effects ~ weave with setting 2, 5, 20, both fill & gap white, fill gaps checked, apply.
Use plugin FM Tile Tools ~ blend emboss ~ use standard settings & apply.
 
 
Add your copyright, URL, watermark & name.

New Tutorial ~ Spring Into Easter



This tutorial is written for those with a working knowledge of PSP.
Supplies Needed:
 I am using Corel PSP X2 version but any version will do.

No Plugins required
Font for the name is Brown Bear Funk found HERE

 Open the Easter Thyme cluster frame. Resize to 600 x 600 pixels.
Center the frame with your move tool.
Add a new raster layer ~ arrange ~ send to bottom. Flood fill this layer white.
Add a new raster layer. Selections ~ select all.
Open paper of choice or paper Addon 01.
Paste into the selection. Select none.
Open mask of choice or Suzzanna Mask07. Minimize.
Layers ~ New Mask Layer ~ from Image ~ find Mask07, source luminance checked only. Apply.
Drop opacity of this masked layer to approx 75% on your layer palette.
 
Using selection tool, freehand selection ~ point-to-point, draw a selection around the large rectangular frame.
Open paper of choice or paper AddOn02, resize to 500 x 500 pixels.
Copy 'n paste as a new layer. Selections Invert. Delete.
Move this paper layer below the frame layer on your layer palette, do NOT deselect yet.
Open tube of choice, resize if needed, copy 'n paste as a new layer above the paper layer. Center inside frame. Delete on keyboard.
Selections ~ none. D/S tube only.
 
 Now personalize your tag by adding flowers, butterflies, sparkles, carrots & the birdhouse.
I resized the small flowers, butterflies 15%. The larger flower & carrot 10%.
See reference tag for placement.
Add carrots to your baskets, erasing bottom portion of carrot with your eraser tool to make it appear to sit inside basket.
D/S the elements that you added with your favorite setting or 2/2/50/5 blur, color black
 
Resize sparkles to 600 pixels high, copy 'n paste as a new layer above the masked layer.
Move slightly to left. Duplicate & mirror.
Open wordart ~ resize to 575 pixels wide. Colorize ~ Hue 57, Saturation 133.
Copy 'n paste as a new layer above ALL the other layers
Merge visible all layers
Sharpen if desired using Adjust ~ Sharpness ~ unsharp mask ~ radius 1, strength 30, clipping 2, luminance only checked. Apply.
 
Add your copyright, URL, watermark & name.

Tip:   if you wish to keep the background transparent, simply delete your white background layer
before merging visible. Save as a PNG file. 
If your version of PSP asks to merge, click Yes.
