New Tutorial ~ Mon Amie La Rose



This tutorial is written for those with a working knowledge of PSP.
Supplies Needed:
 I am using Corel PSP X2 version but any version will do.
 Tube of choice.  I am using the beautiful artwork of Nicole Brune. You can purchase a license to use her art at CILM.

 Font used is Scriptina, a payfont.
 
 * * * * *
 
 1.  Open a new transparent image 600 x 600 pixels and flood fill white.
Add a new raster layer, Selections ~ select all
Open paper1, copy 'n paste into the selection. Selections ~ none.
Open mask of choice, minimize. Layers ~ New Mask Layer ~ from Image ~ find mask & apply.
Merge group.  Duplicate masked layer.
 
 
2.  Add a new raster layer, selections ~ select all.
Open rose spray. Copy 'n paste into the selection. ~ selections ~ none.
Duplicate ~ mirror.  Using move tool, move the right rose spray slightly down.
 
 
3.  Open first basket (empty one), resize 20%. Copy  'n paste as a new layer.
Open second basket (with roses), resize 20%, copy 'n paste as a new layer.
Try to overlap the two baskets as perfectly as possible.
Once happy, lock these two basket layers on your layer palette by clicking on 'lock' to read '1'
 
 
3. Open tube of choice, resize if needed, copy 'n paste as a new layer between the two basket layers.
Erase any part of the tube that extends beyond the bottom of the basket.
Duplicate tube. Move duplicate copy above the uppermost basket.
Again, erase any part of the top tube layer to make it appear to be peering out through the handle. See reference tag.
 
 
4.  Add dried flowers rosy cluster (without D/S), resized 20%. Paste as a new layer below the basket layers.  Move slightly to right.
Duplicate ~ mirror. Duplicate mirrored copy again, resize 80% and move slightly upward behind tube 'n basket layer.
Rotate with pic tool (deformation tool) slightly. Duplicate ~ mirror.
Add any other flowers as desired.
D/S all layers except  masked layers, original tube layer & empty basket layer.
 
 
5.. Add your copyright, URL, watermark and name.
Merge all flatten and save as a .jpeg or merge visible and save as a .png

New Tutorial ~ Color Me Happy



This tutorial is written for those with a working knowledge of PSP.
Supplies Needed:
 I am using Corel PSP X2 version but any version will do.
Two tubes of choice.  I am using the gorjuss artwork of Suzanne Woolcott. You can purchase a license to use her art HERE.

1.  Open a new transparent image 600 x 600 pixels. Flood fill white.
Add a new raster layer, selections ~ select all.
Open paper05, copy 'n paste into the selection. Selections ~ none. Sharpen.
Open WSL_mask236, minimize. Layers ~ New Mask Layer ~ from Image ~ find the mask and apply. Merge group.
 
2. Open the frame, resize to 600 pixels in HEIGHT. Copy 'n paste as a new layer.
Using your selection tool, draw a rectangular selection just beyond the inside of the top frame,
open paper03, resized to 500 pixels, copy 'n paste as a new layer.  Selections ~ invert, delete.
Move the paper layer below the frame layer. Duplicate the paper layer and with mover tool,
move the copy paper layer down, to fill the lower frame. D/S the frame layer with 1/3/45, 5 blur color #404040.
 
3. Open two tubes of choice, resized to 50% if using same tubes.
Copy 'n paste as a new layer above the paper layer, below the frame layer.
Duplicate the tube and move the duplicate copy above the frame.
Using eraser tool, erase any part of the tube to make it appear its reaching out of frame.
Do same for other frame. D/S the top tube layers.
 
4.  Open flowercluster, resize 20%, copy 'n paste. Duplicate. Resize duplicate copy 80%.
On original flower layer, rotate with pic tool slightly to right.  Align the bows of these
flowers together (see reference tag).
 
5. Add any elements you wish. I resized white string02 to 500 px in height.
Yellow ribbon resized to 600 px in width. Use brightness/contrast on ribbon with setting: B 30, C 0.
Move these elements above the mask layer.
Add flower1, resize to 15%. Duplicate twice and resize duplicates 75%.
Add a colored bead of choice to center of each flower.
Resize the button string to 500 px wide. Add as a new layer, mirror 'n rotate with pic tool to right.
Resize hearts 10% and use brightness/contrast 30/0 (same setting as above) to brighten the hearts.
D/S all elements 1,1, 35, 5 blur, color #404040
 
(I chose to erase the raffia and ring on the frame layer and cover it with flowers instead.)
 
6. Add doves. Use same brightness/contrast setting as above but repeat once or twice
to brighten the color of the doves. D/S.
 
7. To make wordart, use preset eclipse, foreground on black, fill nil, line style solid line, width 3,
draw an eclipse around circumference of tag. Leave as a vector layer.
Now choose font, sz 36 px, foreground nil, fill color #85c4aa
click on eclipse layer, move cursor over the eclipse you drew until you see the letter A with a cresent moon beneath.
Type out wordart of choice or mine COLOR ME HAPPY COLOR ME PROUD in caps.
Apply. On your layer palette, click on the + sign  and click on the 'eye' of the new eclipse layer to hide it.
Convert the text layer to a raster layer.
Use EyeCandy 4000, gradient glow with setting:  fat, color white, opacity 100, width 3, corners 0, overall opacity 100.
D/S your wordart.
 
Add your copyright, URL, watermark & name.

New Tutorial ~ Dark Enchantment



This tutorial is written for those with a working knowledge of PSP.
Supplies Needed:
 I am using Corel PSP X2 version but any version will do.
 Tube of choice.  I am using the beautiful artwork of Amy  Brown. You can purchase a license to use her art at CILM.

Plugin Mura's Meister ~ Copies
Optional:  Plugin Xero ~ Radiance
 Font used is Monika found HERE
 
 * * * * *
 
 1.  Open a new transparent image 625 x 575 pixels and flood fill white.
Add a new raster layer, flood fill with #8e5c8f (or any one of the colors from Bel's swatch)
Open chas10mask and minimize it.
Layers ~ New Mask Layer ~ From Image ~ find the mask and click OK.
Merge group.
 
2.  Open white lace frame, resize it 75%, copy 'n paste as a new layer.
Using Mura's Meister ~ Copies ~ settings as below:

Sharpen this layer and D/S using 1,1, 50, 5 blur, black
 
3.  Using magic wand, click inside this lace frame ~ Selections ~ modify ~ expand by 5.
Open paper 01, resized to 500 by 500 px and copy 'n paste as a new layer.
Selections ~ Invert ~ delete. Selections ~ none.  Move paper layer below lace frame.
Darken this paper layer using Adjust ~ Brightness/Contrast ~ Brightness minus 20, contrast 0.
 
4.  To customize your tag, add flowers/elements of choice. Green leaf resized 70% (rotate with pic tool & sharpen)
Duplicate and resize duplicate copy 75%.
For the Flowers01, erase most of the stem ~ mirror ~ copy 'n paste as a new layer and rotate using pic tool.
Resize the tulle 75%, copy 'n paste as a new layer above your mask layers. Rotate 15 degrees to the left. Sharpen. Move slightly to top left.
Duplicate ~ mirror ~ move down with mover tool to lower right side of tag. Use bow05, copy 'n paste as a new layer above the lace frame.
 
5.  Open flowers 02, resize 50-55%
Using Mura's Meister ~ Copies ~ setting as below:

Sharpen.  To make this flower swag appear to be laying down,
click on pic tool (deformation tool), hold down control key on keyboard
and using mouse, move left lower 'node' slightly outward.
Do same for upper left node but instead move inward. To nullify pic tool, simply click on your text tool.
Sharpen again.
D/S all the elements you added with same setting used earlier.
 
6.  Open tube of choice. Copy 'n paste as uppermost layer. If using same tube as above,
use the selection tool ~ freehand ~ point-to-point ~ feather 1, smoothing 0, draw a selection around the lower branch and delete.
Selections ~ none.
Use a heavier D/S for your tube or 10, 10, 50, 5 blur, black.
Do darken the tube, use Xero ~ Radiance ~ Setting: Strangeness 83, Charm 27, Truth 12, Beauty 207.
 
7. Add your copyright, URL, watermark and name.
Merge all flatten and save as a .jpeg or merge visible and save as a .png

New Tutorial ~ Paris

 

This tutorial is written for those with a working knowledge of PSP.
Supplies Needed:
 I am using Corel PSP X2 version but any version will do.
Tube of choice.  I am using the seductive artwork of Keith Garvey. You can purchase a license to use his work at MPT.
FTU Scrap kit by Cajoline called Paris found HERE
Mask by Essex Girl called Stencil Flowered Circle found HERE
Optional Plugin: Xero ~ Radiance
Font for the name is Bickham Script Fancy found HERE.  Scroll down halfway til you see name of font and click on it.
 
  * * * * *
 
 1.  Open up a new transparent image 625 x 575 pixels and flood fill white.
Add a new raster layer, selections ~ select all
Open paper 4, copy 'n paste into the selection. Selections ~ none.
Open the stencil flowered circle mask, minimize it.
Layers ~ New Mask Layer ~ From Image ~ find mask and apply. Merge group.
Do same with Paper 3. Add new raster layer ~ select all~ paste paper 3 into selection. Apply mask and merge group.
 
2.  Open journal element 18, to help clean up the edges, go to Selections ~ select all
Float, defloat, modify selections ~ contract 1, invert and delete. Selections ~ none.
Copy 'n paste as a new layer on working image.  Image rotate 12 degrees to left. D/S with setting of choice.
 
3.  Open Paris journal element 17, copy 'n paste as a new layer.
Image ~ free rotate 12 degrees to right. Sharpen. D/S.
 
4. Open bow 3, resize 75%, copy 'n paste as a new layer. Image mirror ~ rotate slightly to right using deformation tool or pic tool. Sharpen and D/S
 
5.  Now to personalize your tag, open element 13, resize 50%, copy 'n paste as a new layer. Place according to reference tag.
Gramophone 1, suitcases 12, suitcase 15 and  flower of choice (I  used a flower from Cajolines' kit called Vivaldi found HERE). Duplicate flower a few times
and resize and place accordingly.  I also added lace from another kit called Souvenir d'Enfance by Cajoline found HERE but this is entirely optional.
Simply resize and rotate with pic tool, sharpen and D/S.
 
6. Resize P-A-R-I-S alpha 75% and place letters as you wish. D/S
 
7. Add tube of choice, my tube was resized 90% then D/S with setting of choice.
Optional: Use plugin Xero ~ Radiance with following setting:
Strangeness 163, Charm 250, Truth 178, Beauty 132
 
 
 Add copyright, URL, watermark and Name.
Merge all flatten and save as a .jpeg or merge all visible and save as a .png.

New Tutorial ~ SEX



This tutorial is written for those with a working knowledge of PSP.
Supplies Needed:
 I am using Corel PSP X2 version but any version will do.
Tube of choice.  I am using the sexy artwork of Keith Garvey. You can purchase a license to use his work at MPT.

Filters Unlimited 2.0 ~ Render
Xero ~ Radiance
Font used is Yolanda Duchess, a payfont

 1.  Open cluster frame resized to 600 pixels in HEIGHT
Image ~ Canvas Size ~ 625 x 600 pixels ~ centered
Image ~ Mirror
Image ~ rotate 5 degrees to left.  Adjust ~ Sharpen ~ D/S if desired.
Add a new raster layer, flood fill this layer white and move below cluster frame on layer palette
 
 
2.  Using selection tool ~ freehand ~ point-to-point, draw a selection around the square part of the frame
Open paper 17, resized to 500 pixels, copy 'n paste as a new layer on working image
Selections ~ Invert ~ delete ~ selections none.  Be sure paper layer is below frame.
Apply Filters Unlimited 2.0 ~ Render ~ Difference Clouds ~ standard setting or 128, 128 to the paper layer.
 
3.  Open tube of choice ~ resize tube 90% THREE times ~ copy 'n paste as a new layer above the paper layer but below frame layer.
Using eraser tool, erase any part of tube that extends below the bottom of the frame.
Duplicate tube and move duplicate copy above frame layer.
On duplicate tube, erase any part of the tube extending beyond the bottom of the frame and also her right elbow.
Dropshadow this tube with setting of choice, however select this drop shadow on a new layer by ticking box in drop shadow window.
Erase any UNdesired drop shadow. Merge Down the tube layer to the drop shadow layer on your layer palette.
Apply the Xero ~ Radiance plugin to BOTH tube layers using setting: 
Strangeness 187
Charm 144
Truth 106
Beauty 190
 
4.  Add a new raster layer above the white background layer, Selections ~ select All
Open paper 15, copy 'n paste into the selection ~ selections ~ none.
Resize this paper layer 80%. Sharpen once. Effects ~ edge effects ~ enhance.
 
5.  To make the gold ribbon layer, using your selection tool,
rectangle ~ feather 0, draw a vertical rectange  on the left side of the paper approx 52 x 110 pixels.
Copy paper 17 again (already resize at 500 x 500 px) 'n paste as a new layer over top the selection.
Selections ~ Invert ~ delete.
Back to purple paper 17 layer, Select All ~ float, defloat ~ selections ~ invert
back to gold ribbon layer ~ press delete. Selections ~ none. This will get rid of any excess gold ribbon.
On same layer,  go to Effects ~ edge Effects ~ enhance.
Use same Filters Unlimited 2 ~ Render ~ Difference Clouds setting as above.
D/S the purple paper layer with default D/S setting or 10,10, 50, 5 blur, black
 
6.  Open button element 6, resized 25%, copy 'n paste as uppermost layer.
Using Mura's Meister ~ Copies ~ Encircle ~ Number 17, shift X = 63, Shift Y = 63, all other settings remain the same.  Click Ok.
Sharpen once. D/S 3/3/55, 5 blur, black
Move this layer just above gold ribbon layer.
 
6.  Open gold bow2, resized 20%, copy 'n paste as new upppermost layer. Rotate ~ free rotate 5 degrees to left.
Sharpen. D/S as above.
 
 7.  Add copyright, URL, watermark and name.
 
If you don't wish to animate, 
merge all flatten and save as a .JPEG or merge visible and save as a .PNG.
 
To animate:
 
Close off the white background layer
Select uppermost tube layer, using center wheel of your computer mouse,
magnify the working image 200%, and draw a selection
using Freehand Selection tool ~ point-to-point, around the earring on the tube
Hold down shift key, continue making another selection around the SEX word on her neck collar.
You do not need to be percise in this selection.
On your layer palette, Promote this selection to Layer by right clicking on the tube layer on your layer palette.
Selections ~ none.
Copy merged all layers and paste in A/S as a new animation.
 
Back to PSP, still on the promoted selection layer, find the Lighten/Darken tool
and left click on the earring and SEX word to lighten by moving mouse over selection
Copy merged all layers and paste after current frame.
 
Back to PSP, undo the lighten effect on the promoted selection layer (you may have to undo several times)
Using Lighten/Darken tool again, this time right click on the earring and SEX word
and darken the area.
Copy Merged all layers and paste in A/S after current frame. You should have a total of 3 frames in A/S.
View animation. If happy, edit ~ Select All ~ change animation properties to Opaque ~ color white
Now optimize your animation and save as a .gif.
