The Treat ~ New Tutorial

This tutorial is written for those with a working knowledge of PSP.
Supplies Needed:
Corel PSP X2 version or any version thereof.
Tube of choice. I am using the intricate artwork of Stefano Mazzotti. You can purchase a license to use his art at CILM (which is no longer open so please use a different tube).
Plugins: Xenofex 1.1 ~ Baked Earth
DSB Flux ~ Linear TransmissionFont used is Velvenda Cooler found HERE
DSB Flux ~ Linear TransmissionFont used is Velvenda Cooler found HERE
* * * * *
1. Open template 2 by Deb. Shift & D to copy, save original 'n close.
Canvas size ~ 650 x 650 px.
2. Select raster 6, selection all, float, defloat, invert
open paper 8, copy n paste as a new layer, delete. Deselect.
Duplicate this layer. On bottom layer apply DSB Flux plugin
Linear Transmission setting:
1, 2, 25 horizontal checked.
Delete raster 6 layer.
3. Select raster 4, select all, float, defloat, invert
Open paper 11, copy n paste as a new layer, delete. Deselect.
Apply DSB Flux linear transmission same as above.
Delete raster 4 layer.
4. Merge Copy of Vector 1 layer down to raster 5 layer.
Select all, float, defloat, invert
Open paper 10, copy n paste as a new layer, delete. Deselect.
Sharpen once.
Do not delete raster 5 layer.
5. Select raster 2 layer, float, defloat, invert.
Open tube of choice and paste as a new layer, delete. Deselect.
Change blend mode to screen and lower opacity to 55.
(Try other blend modes, depending on tube used.)
6. Select yellow frame (copy of Vector1)
using Hue Saturation, change hue to 24, Saturation to 176.
Duplicate this frame and change blend mode to multiply.
7. Select orange circle layer, using brightness contrast
change brightness to -255 and contrast to 0.
8. To change color of raster 7 wordart layer to white,
use brightness 255 and contrast 0.
Drop opacity of this wordart layer to 40.
9. Copy n paste tube of choice above wordart layer.
Duplicate, adjust blur, gaussian blur of 1. Change blend mode to soft light.
Drop shadow original tube layer only.
10. Add elements of choice from kit.
Booo WA, spiders n bats. Resize to liking.
Add spiderweb, resize 85%.
Add a new raster layer above this spiderweb,
open gold glitter, minimize.
In your material palette, find the gold glitter under the pattern tab.
Flood fill this new raster layer with the gold glitter, setting angle 0, scale 100.
Back to spider web layer, select all, float, defloat, invert
back to glitter layer, press delete. Deselect.
Merge this layer down to the original spider web layer.
Drop shadow 1, 1, 95, 1 blur color black.
11. Select purple word art layer, float, defloat
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with color # 552e0b.
I only filled the words THE TREAT.
Using Xenofex 1.1, baked earth setting
crack length 40
crack width 4
variation 30
highlight brightness 5
highlight sharpness 10
Lighting direction 135 and 45.
Apply. Deselect.
12. For name, use Velvenda Coolor font, fill color # 552e0b.
Apply same baked earth setting as above.
Select all, float, defloat, modifty selection expand by 2.
Add a new raster layer, flood fill white.
Move this layer below name layer.
Add noise with setting of choice.
Drop shadow.
13. Dropshadow other layers with setting of choice.
14. Add your copyright, URL, & watermark.
Canvas size ~ 650 x 650 px.
2. Select raster 6, selection all, float, defloat, invert
open paper 8, copy n paste as a new layer, delete. Deselect.
Duplicate this layer. On bottom layer apply DSB Flux plugin
