Lucky ~ Tutorial


This tutorial is written with the premise you have a working knowledge of PSP.
Supplies Needed:
 Corel PSP X2 or any version thereof.
Tube of choice. I am using a tube by Alicia Mujica found on her blog HERE

FTU scrapkit called Green Galore by Cinnamon Scraps found HERE
Time Warp Paper by Sweet Cravings found HERE
Frame found in this FTU O' Lucky kit by Chassity HERE
Wordart by myself found HERE
MB and SW Mask 27 found HERE Thank you!
Plugins: EyeCandy 4000 ~ gradient glow for name
Xero ~ Porcelain
Font for name is Scriptina

1. Open a new transparent image 650 x 650 px. Flood fill white. We can resize later.
Add a new raster layer ~ select All
Open paper 7 from Green Galore kit ~ paste into the selection. Deselect.
Open mask, minimize.
Layers ~ from New Mask Layer ~ from Image ~ find mask ~ apply.
Merge group. Resize 105 - 110%.
Open frame 6 from Green Galore kit, C/P
Using magic wand, feather 0, tolerance 10, click outside the frame ~ modify selection
contract by 3
Open Time warp paper ~ resize 600 px. C/P as a new layer above frame
Press delete ~ deselect.
Move paper layer below frame layer 'n sharpen paper layer once.

2. On frame layer, using magic wand ~ same settings ~ click on the black outline inside
the frame. Hold down shift key to select more areas ~ Do not worry about
areas below the stitching. When most of the black area is selected ~ promote this selection
to a new layer by right clicking on the layer within the layer palette. Deselect
On the promoted layer ~ affect ~ inner bevel use setting:
bevel # 2, width 6, smoothness 25, depth 7, ambience - 20,
shininess 35, color white, angle 135, intensity 35, elevation 70.
Apply. Duplicate ~ change blend mode to Multiply and drop opacity to 65. Merge down.
D/S using 4/4/50/4 blur, color black

3. Open OL film strip frame 3 from O'Lucky kit, change color to black
by using brightness/contrast -255/0 respectively.
Resize 90% C/P on working image
Using rectangular selection tool, draw a selection just beyond the inner
opening of full width of film strip (see reference tag). Invert selection.
Open image of face supplied with tube, C/P below filmstrip frame
Arrange so face of image fills the left two openings of filmstrip. Press delete.
Deselect. Duplicate image ~ mirror ~ arrange so it fills the right half of the entire filmstrip.
Merge down the duplicate copy to the original image layer.
Using Xero - Porcelain setting:
standard setting except change blue channel to 0, green channel to 255, red channel 0.
Apply. Repeat.
Back to filmstrip layer, D/S same setting. Merge down.
Free rotate this filmstrip/image 7 degrees to left. Sharpen.
Move slightly downward.

4. Add main tube. Resize as desired.
Duplicate. Change blend mode to soft light and drop opacity to 75. Add affect blur ~ Gaussian blur setting of 2.
On original tube layer add
D/S on a 'New Layer' by checking the box in the drop shadow window
using 3/4/45/15 blur, color black

5. Add wordart supplied. D/S 4/4/50/4 black
Add other elements from both kits as desired to personalize your tag.
 D/S each with same setting as above.

Resize tag with all layers checked, 90% smartsize.

6.  Add copyright, URL, watermark & name.
To add name,
use sz 90 black fill, Scriptina font, BOLD
Duplicate ~ merge down.
 EyeCandy 4000, gradient glow, glow width 5, soft corners 0,
color from tube or paper.  Slide left slider to middle ~ apply.

Delete white background and save as a PNG.

Irish Girls ~ Tutorial


This tutorial is written with the premise you have a working knowledge of PSP.
Supplies Needed:
 Corel PSP X2 or any version thereof.
Tube of choice. I am using a sexy tube by Ted Hammond of CDO.

Font for name is Carpenter

1. Open a new transparent image 700 x 650 px. Flood fill white. We can resize later.
Open element 3, resize 125%, sharpen
resize 125% again, sharpen
adjust ~ digital camera noise removal:

C/P onto blank image.

2.  Add a new raster layer. Move it below flower wreath.
Select All ~ open Paper 1 ~ Paste into the selection. Deselect.
Open mask 27, minimize. Layers ~ New Mask Layer ~ From Image
Find mask 27 & apply. Merge Group.
Resize the masked layer 110%. Sharpen.
Open element 23, resize 43%. Move to left. Change blend mode to Multiply.
Free rotate 5 degrees to left. Sharpen.
Open element 12 ~ resize 75% C/P

3. Open element 15 ~ C/P
Open element 8 ~ resize 40%. C/P
Open element 9 ~ resize 50% C/P to right
Duplicate ~ resize 65% Move duplicate below original element 9.
D/S each element then merge down together.
Duplicate ~ mirror.
Open element 19 ~ resize 50%.
C/P to right ~ duplicate ~ mirror

4. Add main tube of choice.
Duplicate ~ adjust blur ~ gaussian blur of 2.
Change blend mode to soft light 'n drop opacity to 59.
D/S original tube layer only. 2/3/45/10 blur, color black
Open wordart1 ~ resize 75% ~ all layers unchecked
Select all ~ float ~ defloat
open Paper 2, C/P as a new layer
invert selection ~ delete. Deselect.
Duplicate this layer ~ change blend mode to Multiply
Duplicate twice more. Merge visible.
Add sharp D/S setting of 1/1/90/1blur, color black
C/P onto working image.

D/S any other elements

Resize tag now if you so desire using 85 - 90 % smartsize.

5. Add copyright, URL, watermark and name.
To add name as above, choose black for foreground color, close fill color.
choose Pen Tool ~ draw freehand ~ tracking 10, width 3
draw a freehand line along the curve of the girls back

Find font Carpenter, sz 72, fill color white, foreground nil
Anti-alias smooth, kerning 0, type your name
starting in the center of the pen line when you see
the A+ on your cursor.
When done typing your name, look at the layer palette for the + sign beside Vector 1
click the + sign to open the layers. Close the bottommost layer (the pen line)
and convert the Vector layer to a raster layer.
Use a faint D/S of 2/2/35/5 blur color #004000

6. Delete white background and save as a PNG.

Jacob Black


This tutorial is written with the premise you have a working knowledge of PSP.
Supplies Needed:
 Corel PSP X2 or any version thereof.
Tube of choice, preferable with a close-up as well.  I am using an Exclusive tube by Zlata_M.

No Plugins, No Templates!
Mask 20/20 found HERE
Save into your Masks folder then direct your PSP program to locate
masks using Preferences ~ File Locations
Font for name is Twilight Breaking Dawn found HERE
Wordart by myself found HERE

1. Open a new transparent image 750 x 700 px. Flood fill white. We can resize later.
Open the tagback cluster C/P as a new layer.
Open the stonewall mask ~ resize 65% C/P, placing off center to right
change blend mode to 'soft light'

2.  Open tagback, C/P on top of cluster layer. This element will be deleted later.
Open close up of tube ~ resize 80% if needed.
C/P to left of tagback. Using the magic wand,
click outside of tagback layer, back to close-up tube layer,
press delete on keyboard to rid of tube excess.
Change blend mode to Luminance (l) on tube layer,
reduce opacity to approx 69.
To further soften edge of close-up tube layer,
apply the 20/20 mask by choosing Layers ~ load mask from disk
Source luminance, fit to Canvas, Hide all mask all checked.
Apply. Merge group.
Delete the plain tagback layer.

3. Open Tab cluster ~ resize 50%. C/P
free rotate 5 degrees to left ~ sharpen
Open wordart supplied ~ C/P to left
change blend mode to Screen
and drop opacity to approx 77

4. Open main tube of choice, resize if needed.
C/P ~ duplicate tube ~ hide top duplicate layer for now.
Open Leaves 2 ~ resize 65% C/P in between the two tube layers.
Duplicate ~ free rotate 5 degrees to left. Arrange.

5. Open Leaves 1 ~ resize 38%. C/P to right.
Open pocketwatch ~ resize 50% C/P
See reference tag for placement

6. Unhide the duplicate tube layer. This should be the topmost layer on your layer palette.
To give the appearance Jake is holding the leaves, select the selection tool ~ point to point
draw a selection around his hands to rid of jeans below
Magnify your image by using center wheel of mouse to 185% or more

7.  Open lantern ~ resize 50% C/P
Open keyclip ~ resize 25% C/P rotate with pick tool, arrange & duplicate if desire.
Sharpen each keyclip.

8. Add D/S to all elements except duplicate of main tube layer and
 the tagback cluster layer.

If you wish to resize, do so now using 85 - 90% smartsize.

8. Add copyright, URL, watermark and name.
For name I used foreground black, fill color #694f35. Anti-alias Sharp. Stroke 1.0
Font Twilight Breaking Dawn sz 100.
Type name. Selections ~ select all ~ float ~ defloat
Modify selection ~ contract by 1
Add noise ~ uniform ~ monochrome checked ~ 29.
Add your favourite D/S to your name.

To animate,
delete white bg layer.
Copy merged, paste in Animation Shop as a new animation

Back to PSP, select lantern layer.
Draw a selection using freehand, add(shift) mode, feather 5
around the center glow of the lantern only.
With the feathered setting, the selection will appear as below:

Using adjust ~ brightness/contrast setting 25/0. Apply. 
Deselect. Copy Merged
Paste in A/S after current frame.

View animation. If happy, optimize using partial transparency setting of 40 pixels,
blend with color white (or bg color used in forum if you prefer).
Save as a GIF.
