Plugin: Screenworks ~ Dot Screen, pinhole

Font for name is Chicken Butt found HERE
Supplies for animation HERE
I did not make this zipper but merely tweaked the animation to suit this tag.
Please do not use this animation in any other tutorial w/o permission.
Thank you.

* * * * *

1. Open template. Press Shift 'D' to make duplicate. Close original.
Delete top credit layer.
Select layer 6, float ~ defloat ~ add a new raster layer
open paper 8, paste paper into the selection. Do not deselect.
Modify selection ~ expand by 5, add a new raster layer
Choose two colors from your tube, one pink, one purple,
make a gradient using these colors using the foregr/bg gradient in the drop-down menu
setting: radial, angle 45, repeats 7
Flood fill the selection. Do not deselect.
Modify selection ~ expand by 5 ~ add a new raster layer
Open paper 4 and paste into the selection.
Add noise to this layer and the pink/purp gradient layer
by adding noise affect ~ random, 25, monochrome checked.
Arrange the layers with the black paper under the gradient layer, under paper 8 layer.
Sharpen the paper 8 layer twice.

2. Select layer 5, float ~ defloat ~ modify selection ~ expand by 5,
add a new raster layer
Open paper 7, paste into the selection. Add noise effect as above.
Selections Modify ~ Contract by 5
Select Layer 5 ~ invert selection and paste a closeup of your tube
so the eyes are visible on this layer. Delete. Duplicate ~ mirror.
Merge these two tube layer together.
Drop opacity of tube layers to 40.
Duplicate tube layers ~ apply plugin Screenworks ~ dot screen

3. Select layer 4 ~ float, defloat ~ invert selection
open paper 9, paste it as a new layer ~ delete excess.
invert selection ~ Modify selection ~ expand by 5
Add a new raster layer
Open paper 4 ~ paste into the selection. Deselect. Add same noise affect.
Back to paper 9 layer, sharpen once, duplicate ~ change blend mode to multiply
and drop opacity to 55.
Delete layer 4.

4. Open frame 6 ~ resize 80%
C/P as top most layer.
Select layer 3 ~ float ~ defloat ~ add a new raster layer ~ flood fill with one
of the dark colors you chose from your tube above.
Deselect. Delete layer 3.
Open leather strip 1 ~ resize 75 %. C/P as a new layer
free rotate 90 degrees to left. Place Layer 2 on template. Delete layer 2.
Sharpen leather strip once.

5. Select layer 1 ~ float, defloat ~ add a new raster layer
open paper 6 ~ paste into the selection
Modify selection ~ expand by 5
Add a new raster layer
flood fill with radial gradient you made earlier. Add same noise affect.
Modify selection ~ expand by 5 ~ add a new raster layer
open paper 4 ~ paste into the selection. Deselect.
Add same noise affect.
Move this layer below gradient layer, below the paper 6 layer.
See reference tag.
Select layer 1 again ~ float ~ defloat
open close up of tube ~ C/P as a new layer above paper 6 circle layer
invert selection ~ arrange tube to your liking ~ deselect.
Duplicate this tube layer ~ use affect gaussian blur of 2 ~ change blend mode to soft light
Apply Screenworks ~ pinhole affect to this layer

6. Open cluster trim 1 ~ resize 85 % C/P above small circle layer.
Select word 2 b ~ float, defloat
Add a new raster layer and flood fill it with a nice silver metal
gradient found in your PSP. Deselect.
Delete the wordart 2 b.
Select word 2 ~ brightness/contrast -255/0 changes it to black.

Repeat for word1 b layer. Add silver gradient as above.
Delete word1 b.
Select word1 ~ float ~ defloat ~ add a new raster layer
Flood fill it with a gradient made from same two colors except use
linear 45 degrees, repeat of 1.
Deselect. Delete word1.
Add same Screenworks ~ dot screen to this wordart layer.

Open 3hearts element ~ resize 30%. C/P ~ mirror ~ move to right.
Sharpen once.

7. Open main tube of choice, C/P ~ mirror. Position.
Select layer 6 (first large circle we worked on)
float ~ defloat
Back to main tube layer, invert the selection
and using eraser tool, erase the bottom part of the
tube to make it appear the tube is stepping out of the circle.
Deselect. Delete layer 6.
Duplicate tube layer. Apply affect Gaussian blur of 2.
Change blend mode to soft light and drop opacity to 48.
D/S original tube layer only using -2/3/49/9 blur color black

Open wordart2 (dead sexy) ~ resize 55% C/P ~ arrange as desired.
D/S all other elements (except tube) using 2/2/49/5 blur, color black

Add any other element of choice.
If you wish to resize tag, do so now using smartsize.

6. Add copyright, URL, watermark & name.
For name use foreground white, stroke 1, bg black
sz 110 font Chicken Butt ~ alias is sharp.
Type name, add D/S then sharpen once.

7. Open splatter 2, resize 75% C/P as topmost layer. Arrange
Duplicate ~ mirror ~ duplicate ~ flip.
Merge these 3 splatter layers ~ send to bottom ~ above white bg

Open chicken wire 2 ~ resize 55 % C/P Move to right
D/S using 1/1/45/5 blur, color black
see reference tag
Delete white background. Save as a PNG.

If you wish to animate, delete the copyright layer. We will add this after we resize in A/S.
I enclosed an animated zipper in my supplies.
Open the zipper in A/S
Back in PSP, close off or hide all the layers from the chainlink frame 6 and above.
Edit Copy Merged the bottom layers 'n paste in A/S as a new animation.
Duplicate this frame for a total of 20 frames. Select All
Select Propagate Paste
Open the animated zipper, Select All ~ Copy
Paste frame one of the zipper ani on top of frame 1 of the new animation.
View animation to check placement.

Back to PSP,
Close off or hide all the bottom layers up to but excluding the chainlink frame,
open or unhide the chainlink frame 'n every layer above it. Edit Copy Merged.
Paste in A/S as a new animation. Duplicate frames until you have 20 frames.
Select All ~ Copy
Back to the original animation, Paste frame 1 of the new animation
over frame 1 of the zippered animation.
View animation to check for errors.
If you wish to resize, do so now using
bicubic 85-90%.
Back to PSP, add a new layer for copyright. Convert to raster. Copy
Paste in A/S as a new animation ~ duplicate for total of 20 frames.
Edit ~ select all ~ copy 'n paste on frame 1 of animation.
This helps to keep the copyright clear and legible once resized.

1. Open a new transparent image, 700 x 650. Flood fill white. We can resize later.
Add a new raster layer ~ select all
open paper 6 ~ Paste Into the Selection
Deselect. Open mask ~ Apply.

2. Open ribbon frame ~ resize 85%. C/P. Duplicate ~ change blend mode to Multiply. Merge down.
Open frame 4 ~ resize 92%. C/P
Free rotate 10 degrees to left. Sharpen.
Open heart frosting 1 ~ resize 30%. C/P free rotate 5 - 7 degrees to left. Sharpen.
Duplicate ~ move duplicate copy below frame.
Using eraser tool, erase any part of this frosting to make it appear to be clipped onto frame.
See reference tag.

3. Open swiggly line frosting 3 ~ resize 95%. C/P
Add elements of choice. Add assorted cookies resized 60%.

4. Add tube of choice.
Add pink trim 1 ~ resized 85%. C/P
Duplicate ~ resize again 85%. Move slightly upward.

5. Add Love wordart or wordart of choice. I used chookiesheet 1 ~ resized 45%.
To brighten wordart, use Brightness/Contrast ~ 25, 1
C/P. free rotate ~ Sharpen once.
Add flowers of choice ~ resized 35- 50 %.
Add sugar hearts.
Add 'baked with' wordart ~ resized 75%.
Add white gradient glow to this wordart
using this setting:
glow width 3.0, 0 soft corners
opacity 100, move white slider to middle.
Apply.

5. Drop shadow all elements and tube using your favourite setting or
1/3/35/blur 9/ color black

If you wish to resize tag, do so now using smartsize.

6. Add copyright, URL, watermark & name.

Delete white background. Save as a PNG.

1. Open a new transparent image, 660 x 550. Flood fill white.
Add a new raster layer. Select All ~ open CCS paper 5 ~ copy
paste into selection. Deselect. Apply mask. Merge group.
Open wordart ~ resize 15% ~ C/P.
Apply Mura's Meister Copies ~ tiling Angle - standard setting except change gap to 2.
Apply same mask to this layer. Merge group.
Change blend mode to Luminance (l).
Open element 5 ~ 60%. C/P rotate 10 degrees left.
Using selection tool, point-to-point, draw a selection
around this frame. Add a new raster layer.
Open ddPaper 4 from Dillie's Blue Roses kit.
Paste into the selection. Deselect. Sharpen twice.
Move this paper layer below the wordart layer.

2. Open tube of choice. C/P above frame layer. Duplicate.
Move duplicate copy below the frame layer.
On original tube layer, erase any part of tube that you don't wish to extend beyond frame.
To brighten tube, use adjust ~ brightness/contrast ~ clarify ~ strength of 2
D/S the duplicate tube layer only.
Open element 7 ~ resize 50%. C/P to right of frame, moving it below tube layers.
Open element 6, resize 40% C/P. Using pick tool (deformation tool)
rotate flower as in reference tag. Duplicate ~ flip ~ mirror.
Open element 12 ~ resize 26% C/P ~ rotate 10 degrees to right.
Open element 10 - 35%. C/P move to left ~ change blend mode to Luminance (l).
D/ S all elements 3/3/35/5 color black.

3. Add name and copyright info.
Close white background layer.

To animate,
select original tube layer (uppermost),
using selection tool ~ freehand ~ mode add, feather 0, smoothing 0,
select layers in hair to add animation by zooming in on workspace using center wheel of mouse.
Hold down shift key to select more layers.
See reference tag.
To add glitter, use effect ~ add noise uniform, monochrome checked, noise 30.
Deselect.

Edit copy 'Merged'
Open animation shop 'n paste as a new animation.
Back to PSP,
undo deselection, undo noise affect.
change noise to 25. Deselect.
Copy Merged ~ paste in A/S after current frame.

Back to PSP, undo & undo.
Change noise to 40. Apply ~ Deselect.
Copy Merged. Paste in A/S after current frame.

Back to PSP, undo, undo.
Change noise to 35 ~ apply ~ deselect.
Copy Merge ~ paste in A/S after current frame.
You should have a total of 4 frames in A/S.
View animation. If happy, crop in A/S using crop tool ~ Options: surround the opaque area. Ok.
To save, use the following optimization settings:

automated GIF file, replace current animation with optimized version
Customize ~ slide slider to better image quality
Colors tab: 255 colors, optimized octree, error diffusion
Optimizations tab: middle three checked
Partial transparency tab: convert pixels to less than 40
Yes, blend with this color ~ select white.
Next, next, finish.
Save as a GIF.

The Treat ~ New Tutorial

This tutorial is written for those with a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:

Corel PSP X2 version or any version thereof.

Tube of choice. I am using the intricate artwork of Stefano Mazzotti. You can purchase a license to use his art at CILM (which is no longer open so please use a different tube).

PTU scrap kit # 3 by Lori found HERE
Template by Deb of Creative Misfits found HERE

Plugins: Xenofex 1.1 ~ Baked Earth
DSB Flux ~ Linear TransmissionFont used is Velvenda Cooler found HERE

* * * * *

1. Open template 2 by Deb. Shift & D to copy, save original 'n close.
Canvas size ~ 650 x 650 px.

2. Select raster 6, selection all, float, defloat, invert
open paper 8, copy n paste as a new layer, delete. Deselect.
Duplicate this layer. On bottom layer apply DSB Flux plugin
Linear Transmission setting:
1, 2, 25 horizontal checked.
Delete raster 6 layer.

3. Select raster 4, select all, float, defloat, invert
Open paper 11, copy n paste as a new layer, delete. Deselect.
Apply DSB Flux linear transmission same as above.
Delete raster 4 layer.

4. Merge Copy of Vector 1 layer down to raster 5 layer.
Select all, float, defloat, invert
Open paper 10, copy n paste as a new layer, delete. Deselect.
Sharpen once.
Do not delete raster 5 layer.

5. Select raster 2 layer, float, defloat, invert.
Open tube of choice and paste as a new layer, delete. Deselect.
Change blend mode to screen and lower opacity to 55.
(Try other blend modes, depending on tube used.)

6. Select yellow frame (copy of Vector1)
using Hue Saturation, change hue to 24, Saturation to 176.
Duplicate this frame and change blend mode to multiply.

7. Select orange circle layer, using brightness contrast
change brightness to -255 and contrast to 0.

8. To change color of raster 7 wordart layer to white,
use brightness 255 and contrast 0.
Drop opacity of this wordart layer to 40.

9. Copy n paste tube of choice above wordart layer.
Duplicate, adjust blur, gaussian blur of 1. Change blend mode to soft light.
Drop shadow original tube layer only.

10. Add elements of choice from kit.
Booo WA, spiders n bats. Resize to liking.
Add spiderweb, resize 85%.
Add a new raster layer above this spiderweb,
open gold glitter, minimize.
In your material palette, find the gold glitter under the pattern tab.
Flood fill this new raster layer with the gold glitter, setting angle 0, scale 100.
Back to spider web layer, select all, float, defloat, invert
back to glitter layer, press delete. Deselect.
Merge this layer down to the original spider web layer.
Drop shadow 1, 1, 95, 1 blur color black.

11. Select purple word art layer, float, defloat
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with color # 552e0b.
I only filled the words THE TREAT.
Using Xenofex 1.1, baked earth setting
crack length 40
crack width 4
variation 30
highlight brightness 5
highlight sharpness 10
Lighting direction 135 and 45.
Apply. Deselect.

12. For name, use Velvenda Coolor font, fill color # 552e0b.
Apply same baked earth setting as above.
Select all, float, defloat, modifty selection expand by 2.
Add a new raster layer, flood fill white.
Move this layer below name layer.
Add noise with setting of choice.
Drop shadow.

13. Dropshadow other layers with setting of choice.

14. Add your copyright, URL, & watermark.

Merge visible ~ save as a PNG.

Boo! You are done!

New Tutorial ~ Remember This Day

Supplies needed:
Tube of choice.I am using the ever-stunning artwork of Eugene Rzhevskii. You may obtain a license to use his artwork at PicsForDesign.

Plugin (optional): VM Extravaganza ~ Transmission
Font: Caramel Crunch, a payfont

1. Open a new image 700 x 650 px. Flood fill white.
Add a new raster layer, selections ~ select All.
open paper supplied ~ paste into the selection. Deselect.
Open mask 'n minimize.
Layers ~ New Mask Layer ~ from Image ~ find mask in drop down menu & apply.
Merge group. Close off mask.

2. Open black photo mask. Resize 650 px wide. C/P as a new layer.
Selections ~ select all ~ float defloat ~ invert selection.
Open tube of choice, C/P as a new layer, move to right. Press delete on keyboard to remove excess. Deselect.
Duplicate tube layer. Adjust ~ blur ~ gaussian blur ~ radius 2. Apply.
Change blend mode to 'soft light'.

Back to photo mask layer again, select all ~ float ~ defloat ~ invert selection
Choose tube again except resize it 50% 'n mirror. C/P as a new layer below the previous tube layer.
Place to left. Delete excess. Deselect.
Drop opacity of this tube layer to approx44% and change blend mode to 'screen'.

3. On black photo mask layer, apply VM Extravaganza ~ Transmission ~setting 3, 0, 40.

4. Add wordart of choice resized 18%. C/P above tube layers.
Add other elements of choice.
D/S each element 'n wordart with setting 3/3/35/10 blur, color black.

I used the selection tool ~ point to point to cut out her hat from the tube, resize and D/S
plus cut out the yellow flower from the wordart to place on the hat. D/S

5. Select masked paper layer, resize it 95% and/or resize further using pick tool (deformation tool)
to adjust size vertically.

6. If you wish to resize your image, do so now using smartsize 90-95% all layers checked.

7. Add copyright & name.
Use same D/S setting as above for name.

8. Delete white bg, merge visible
Save as a PNG

Font: Filigree, a pay font

1. Open a new image 625 x 625 px. Flood fill white.
Add a new raster layer, selections ~ select All.
open paper of choice or Fondo 10 ~ paste into the selection. Deselect.
Open mask of choice or the one supplied. Minimize.
Layers ~ New Mask Layer ~ from Image ~ find mask in drop down menu & apply.
Merge group. Close off mask.
Still on mask layer, go to effects ~ edge effects ~ enhance. Apply.

2. Open element Farola (light standard) resize 25%, C/P as a new layer - mirror.
Place to left over the light standard faintly seen on the masked paper.

3. Open paper Fondo 9 - resize 10% ~ C/P as new layer.
Selections ~ select all ~ float/defloat
open tube you're using ~ C/P as a new layer ~ placing slightly to right
and press 'delete' on keyboard. Deselect.
Change blend mode to 'soft light'.
Open word art supplied ~ C/P as new layer above blended tube.
Place to left of frame. Change blend mode to 'burn'.

4. Open paper Fondo 9 again, resize 15% & again at 95% ~ C/P
as a new layer below the smaller frame.
Drop shadow with large blurred setting or
use EyeCandy 4000 ~ shadowlab ~ faint drop shadow setting

Use same D/S setting for smaller frame.

5. Add other elements of choice ~ resizing 10 - 25 %.
D/S elements

6. C/P main tube ~ D/S using heavier/darker setting or the one below:

7. If you wish to resize your image, do so now using smartsize.

6. Add copyright & name.
Use filigree, sz 90, fill color white, foreground nil,
add name, change blend mode to 'overlay' & duplicate.
D/S.
8. Delete white bg, merge visible
Save as a PNG

Many of you will know from your journeys on our train we have a very dear and sweet lady called Artmama

who was in hospital after having one of her seizures.

She was placed into an induced coma due to swelling of the brain.

Artmama is now out of the coma and thankfully on the road to recovery.

Doctors have informed the family that it will be a slow process that can take up to a year.

Artmama has now been moved into a nursing facility which is of course very expensive.

Artmama took me under her wing and encouraged me to write tutorials which I am forever grateful to her for.

New Tutorial ~ Dream Garden

Tube with image supplied.

Plugin: EyeCandy 4000 ~ Jiggle
Animation Shop
Font: Sheila, a payfont

1. Open paper 3, resize 650 x 650. We can resize later.
Mirror your background. Open mask of choice or one supplied. Minimize.
Layers ~ New Mask Layer ~ from Image ~ find mask in dropdown menu 'n apply.
Merge group. Do not dropshadow.

2. Add elements of choice:
element 1 resized to 319 x 484 px ~ mirror
element 40, resized to 177 x 292 px, change blend mode to luminance (L)
element 39 resized to 600 px wide, change blend mode to luminance (L)
element 37 resized to 450 px wide, change blend mode to soft light
and wordart supplied.
Add a soft D/S to your elements like 2/2/50/7 blur, color #33471b.
Be sure the ivy layer is above the easel layer.

3. Open image of choice resize to approx. size of 195 x 230, using smartsize.
These dimensions will vary according to image chosen.
Be sure 'lock aspect ratio' is checked when resizing.
C/P image on easel above the ivy layer. Choose the deformation tool or pick tool on image,
hold 'SHIFT' key on keyboard, drag the right lower corner on image downward to
match angle of easel ledge. Still holding 'shift' key, drag the right upper corner of image downward to match
the bottom edge of image. The image should now look like its sitting on the easel naturally, like a painting.
Sharpen image if needed.

4. If you wish to resize your tag do so now, using smartsize 90-95%
Add copyright info, URL, watermark and name.
Merge visible, save as a PNG. See unanimated version at bottom.

If you wish to animate, continue on...

5. To animate the stream, draw a selection using the freehand selection tool on the masked background layer,
choose settings freehand, add mode, feather 4, smoothing 0,
draw a selection as below, trying to avoid the overhanging leaves on the falls:

This is how the selection should look with the feather setting at 4.
This nicely blends the animation with the bg.
Using eyeCandy 4000 ~ Jiggle settings 'turbulence'
bubble size 7.17, warp amount 4.46, twist 3
Apply to your selection by clicking OK.

Selections ~ none (deselect).
Copy MERGED
Paste in Animation Shop as a new animation. This will be frame 1.

Back to PSP, undo deselect, undo jiggle effect,
repeat Jiggle by clicking random seed once, Ok
Deselect. Copy MERGED 'n paste in A/S after current frame. This will be frame 2.

Repeat this method 2 more times for a total of 4 frames in A/S.

6. Working in A/S, Edit Select All ~ view animation, if happy
optimize using optimized octree, error diffusion, change partial transparency to 40 px and choose blend with color 'white' or color of forum background.
Save as a GIF. You're done! : )

New Tutorial ~ Sweet Temptation

Silver staple attached below
Plugin: Xero ~ Porcelain & Radiance
Optional Plugin: Superblade Pro (for name only)
Fonts: Susie's Hand found HERE & Pappo's Blues Band found HERE

1. Open embellishment 04 ~ resize ~85% ~ all layers Unchecked
Rotate ~ free rotate ~ 15 degrees to left.
Add a new raster layer ~ move to bottom. Flood fill white to better see what we're working with.

2. C/P embell 01 ~ move to upper left, above white bg
C/P embell 02 ~ move to lower right
embell 29 ~ resize 125 % ~ sharpen C/P to left of double-silver frame.
Duplicate ~ move duplicate to right of double-silve frame.
D/S with light setting or 1/1/45/4 blur, color # 404040

3. Add embell 17 ~ 95%
C/P embell 10 ~ 50%
Embell 20~ 80% ~ mirror C/P to right

4. Select double-silver frame, using magic wand ~ add shift ~ RGB ~ tolerance 10 ~ feather 0
Click inside opening of frame on left. Invert selection.
Back to tube/image layer ~ delete excess ~ deselect.
Do same for other opening of frame.
Note: check to be sure the tube layers don't overlap within the frame. If so, simply erase excess.

5. When happy with placement of tubes, merge down to one another.
Apply Xero ~ Porcelain ~ setting 50, 128, 128 Red channel 0, green channel 255, blue channel 255.
Repeat.
Apply Xero - Radiance ~ setting: 224, 247, 11, 182. Sharpen once.

Note: if your tubes don't fill the inside of the silver frame, you may add a paper layer if desired (below tube).

6. To make the 'Sweet Temptation' wordart,
open paper 05 ~ resize to 500 px wide. Minimize.
In material palette, foreground ~ choose the pattern tab ~ find paper 05 ~ angle 0, scale 100.
Choose the selection tool ~ in the drop-down menu ~ select rounded rectangle.
Draw a rectangular selection approx. 164 x 54 px.
Add a new raster layer, flood fill with the foreground paper pattern. Deselect. Move below the double-silver frame and tube layers.
See reference tag for placement.
Duplicate 'n move duplicate slightly down 'n to right.
D/S these paper tabs 2/2/45/5 blur, color black.
Using font Susie's Hand, sz 48, foreground nil, fill color black, write word "Sweet" on one tab just made and "Temptation" on other tab.
Convert text to raster layer. Using 3D affects ~ cutout ~ V/H setting -1, opacity 80, blur 34, shadow color #202020.
Do same cutout affect for both texts. Add D/S 1/1/90/ 0 blur, color white.
Add staple supplied to one of the tabs.
Well done!

7. Add embellishments of choice to customize tag, drop shadow as you go.
Embell 18 ~ 75%
Embell 19 ~ 60% mirror
Embell 21 ~ 100%
Embell 23 ~ 50%
Embell 09 ~ 95% Sharpen.

8. Add copyright information & name.
Delete white bg, merge visible ~ then crop "Merged Opaque"
Save as a PNG

New Tutorial ~ Pixie Dust

Plugin: Xero - Serious fog
Font: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

1. Open a new transparent image 700 x 650 px. Flood fill white.
Open embellishment 01 ~ resize 37%. C/P ~ move to left. Free rotate 12 degrees to left. Duplicate ~ mirror.
Move duplicate frame below original. Resize a further 90-95%.

2. On original frame, draw a point to point selection beyond the inside of the frame. Invert selection.
Open image ~ resize if necessary ~ C/P as a new layer ~ delete excess. Move image below frame.
Invert selection again
apply Xero ~ serious fog ~ settings: severity 100, whiteout 50, mid-tones, definition 1, strength 100
Deselect. D/S frame only using 2/2/45/5 blue color #404040.3. Repeat step 2 for smaller frame on right.

4. To customize your tag add embellishments of choice or
C/P embell 30 above white bg.
C/P embell 7 to upper right.
C/P 10
C/P embell 09 ~ resize 65% ~ drop opacity to 60%
C/P embell 28 ~ 50%
C/P embell 15 ~ 100%C/P embell 26 ~ 50%
C/P embell 22 ~ resize 75% C/P ~ rotate 90 degrees to left.
C/P embell 15 ~ rotate 90 degrees to left ~ mirror ~ place above both frames to right.

C/P embell 16 ~ 70%

C/P embell 08 ~ 80%

D/S above elements with light setting as above.

5. Add main tube of choice D/SC/P embell 25 ~ 50%.
extract one of the single flowers from embell 25 to add in various areas ~ D/S
Add pixie dust (no D/S)

6. Add copyright information & name.

Delete white bg ~ Merge visible ~ 'crop' MERGED opaque ~ save as a PNG
*crop merged opaque will crop your tag without cutting off any dropshadows*

New Tutorial ~ Gothic Fairytale

This tutorial is written for those with a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:

I am using Corel PSP X2 version or any version thereof.

Tube and image of choice. I am using the beautiful artwork of Jessica Galbreth. You can purchase a license to use her art at CDO.
This tube/image was available with CILM but at time of writing, was not available at CDO.

Yes, it's a Christmas kit but I loved the versatile elements in this kit.
Supplies HERE includes mask and wordart.

Font for name is Zapfino Extra LT Four, a payfont

* * * * *

1. Open a new transparent image 650 x 600 px. Flood fill white.
Add a new raster layer ~ select all
open paper 2 ~ copy 'n paste into the selection. Deselect.
Open mask, minimize. Layers ~ new mask layer ~ from image ~ find mask 'n apply.
Merge group. Duplicate mask ~ mirror ~ flip.
Move duplicate below original mask ~ change color to black using brightness/contrast -255/0.
Drop opacity to 69.
Add effects ~ noise ~ random ~ monochrome checked ~ setting of 9.
Do same for original mask layer.

2. Open frame embellishment 07 ~ 58% C/P ~ free rotate 10 degrees left 'n move to left
Duplicate ~ mirror ~ resize 80%. Move this frame below larger frame.

3. Draw a point-to-point selection around the larger frame. Open image of choice,
rotate image 10 degrees to left ~ C/P as a new layer below large frame ~ delete ~ deselect.
Sharpen. D/S large frame 3/3/55/5 blur, black
Open embellishment 32 ~ brightness/contrast -255/0
C/P above image but below frame. Delete excess that extends beyond frame.

Repeat for small frame using a different part of the image omitting
embellishment 32.

4. Add main tube as the uppermost layer. D/S 2/3/55/10 blur, black
Adjust brightness/contrast ~ clarify ~ setting of 3.

5. Add embellishment 05 C/P over main tube.
Using deformation/pick tool, resize to fit across the bottom of both frames.
Sharpen & D/S 3/3/55/5 blur, black.
Add embellishment 11 ~ 50% C/P above ribbon.
Embell 33 ~ 75%
Embell 44 ~ 70%
Embell 02 ~ 25%
Embell 04 ~ 65%
Embell 03 ~ 65%

Add D/S to added elements 1/1/40/5 blur, black

6. Add wordart C/P
Select All ~ float ~ defloat ~ modify selection expand by 2
Add a new raster layer ~ flood fill with color # dad3c5 ~ deselect.
Move this layer below wordart. D/S

7. Add copyright, URL, watermark & name.

New Tutorial ~ Define Sanguine

PTU scrap kit by Artmama called Sanguine found at Exquisite Scraps or on her blog HERE2020 mask HERE
No Plugins
Font for name is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart found HERE

* * * * *

1. Open a new transparent image 700 x 650. Flood fill white.
Open element 8 (tree) ~ resize 80% C/P to left of working image
Select all ~ float ~ defloat ~ invert
open element 43 (wordart) ~ resize 80% C/P over top of tree ~ delete excess
repeat again over another part of tree. Deselect.

2. Open main tube ~ C/P above white bg
Open 20/20 mask, minimize
Layers ~ New Mask Layer ~ from image ~ find 2020 mask 'n apply.
On your layer palette, duplicate the mask layer and then merge group.
You may have to apply mask one more time, depending on tube used.
Mirror masked tube (if using same one)

3. Open element 5 ~ 80% C/P to left of image. Duplicate ~ mirror ~ flip
open element 7 ~ 80% C/P
apply the 2020 mask to this layer as well to soften the hard edges
or use eraser tool set at fuzzy soft setting sz 150 opacity 100 to erase the hard edges.
open element 25 ~ 75% C/P to top right of image ~ drop opacity to 38
4. Back to element 43 (wordart) which is already resized at 80%
further resize 60% C/P to right of tree, then drop opacity to 38
Add element 23, C/P as is
Add element 34 ~ 80% C/P to bottom of image ~ duplicate ~ mirro
Add element 14 ~ 75% C/P ~ rotate with pick/deform tool ~ sharpen
Duplicate 'n arrange duplicate.
Add element 13 ~ resize 40% C/P
Add element 15 ~ 25% ~ C/P under flower (element 13)
Duplicate a couple of times 'n rotate each leaf seperately ~ sharpen.
Add element 32 ~ 50% C/P above leaves but below flower (element13)
Add element 16 ~ 50% ~ C/P a couple of times, resize as desired
Add element 26 ~ 50% C/P 'n rotate with pick tool as desired ~ sharpen.
No dropshadows were used except a light setting on name only.

5. Add main tube again ~ resize 50% C/P
Optional: Duplicate tube
On original tube layer ~ brightness/contrast -255/0 (changes tube color to black)
Close off duplicate tube layer.
drop opacity of original tube to 15 and move this 'shadow' layer slight left 'n upward.
Open duplicate tube.
The shadow is barely visible on the reference tag
but I wanted to give you the option to add a shadow via this method.

6. If you wish to resize, do so now using smartsize.
7. Add copyright, URL, watermark and name.
To add name on curve,
on material palette, foreground black (fill nil)
select pen tool ~ point to point bezier curve ~ create on vector ~ line width 2
click to make first 'node' on left wing (see below) and
then click again to make second node (below butterfly)
and then drag the cursor (mouse) to right 'n downward while holding down the left click button on mouse,

making a gentle curve as below:

When happy with curve placement, let go of mouse and it creates a smooth vector curve.
Select font sz 72, foreground nil, fill color #dcae64
Type name when you see a crescent shape on 'A' of center of curve.
Note: You can easily move your text by moving the center node of the deform box either left or right
(the text will follow the path of the curve as you move it)

Back to layer palette, click on + sign (open the layers), close the new path layer then convert the text to a raster layer.
Duplicate text ~ merge down ~ D/S 1/1/55/0 blur ~ black.

I hope that makes some sense to you. :+)
This blend looks best on a white background so merge all flatten and save as a JPEG
or delete white bg, merge visible and save as a PNG.

Another quickie tut...

* * * * *

1. Open up a new transparent image 700 x 650 pixels and flood fill white to best see what we're working with.
Add a new raster layer above the bg, flood fill with #ffa5b3.
Open mask, minimize. Layers ~ new mask layer ~ from image ~ find mask 'n apply. Merge group.
Resize mask 90%.

2. Open floral cluster ~ 25% C/P move upward 'n to left
Duplicate ~ mirror ~ flip ~ move slightly upward 'n to right.
Open ribbon 1 ~ 20% C/P

3. Circle frame ~ 20% C/P move to lower left
Draw a point-to-point selection beyond inner opening of circle.
Add a new raster layer, move it below the frame on your layer palette
Open paper 2, copy 'n paste INTO the selection. Sharpen.

4. Open tube/image of choice. C/P as a new layer ~ arrange ~ invert selection ~ delete ~ deselect.
Brighten tube using brightness/contrast ~ clarify ~ setting of 3.
Sharpen tube only if needed.
D/S the circle frame 2/2/45/5 blur, color #404040.

5. Open wordart ~ 20% C/P as desired.
Apply eyecandy gradient glow ~ glow width 3, soft corners 0, overall opacity 100,
Setting at medium, color white.

6. Open flower2 ~ 10% C/P

7. Add copyright, URL, watermark & name using font Weltron. Apply gradient glow to name.
Open floral cluster ~ draw a selection around one of the white flowers seperate from cluster ~ C/P ~ resize 25%
Place flower on top of name for added effect.
D/S all elements added except circle frame & masked layer.

Delete white bg ~ merge visible ~ save as a PNG.

Eye Candy 5 ~ Impact
Font for name is Alpha from the kit

* * * * *

1. Open a new transparent image 700 x 650. Flood fill white.
Open element 35 ~ resize 450 px C/P on working image.
Draw a rectangular selection within the outer edge of the stamp frame.
Add a new raster layer. Move this layer below the frame
Open paper 6 and paste into the selection. Sharpen.
Open tube of choice ~ mirror ~ C/P as a new layer (arrange as desired) ~ invert selection ~ delete. Deselect.
Change the blend mode of the tube to overlay.
Using plugin Adjust Variations ~ change the color to a soft pink of your liking.
D/S the frame using 4/4/35/10 blur color #404040.

2. Add a new raster layer above the white bg. Select all
Open paper 4, paste into the selection. Sharpen. Deselect.
Open mask, minimize. Layers ~ new mask layer ~ from image ~ find mask 'n apply. Merge group.
Resize if desired.

3. Open element 19, resize 600 px wide. C/P above masked layer.
element 5 ~ 537 px wide C/P to left of working image
element 7 ~ 327 px C/P on working image to right. Duplicate ~ resize 75% ~ mirror.
Arrange. D/S both with same setting as above.
element 9 ~ 625 px ~ C/P near bottom D/S
element 23 ~ 233 px ~ C/P to left ~ duplicate ~ resize 75%
Slightly turn duplicate copy to left with deform/pick tool
sharpen ~ D/S both elements

4. Open light effects by Sarah ~ resize 562 px wide C/P above frame layer. Duplicate 'n mirror. Arrange.
element 06 ~ resize 406 px C/P top left

5. Open tube C/P to left of image ~ adjust brightness/contrast ~ clarify 3.
Use plugin Adjust Variations to soften tube using pink setting of choice.
EyeCandy5 ~ Impact ~ prospective shadow ~ choose setting 'reflect in front, short'

6. Add element 28 ~ resize 680 px wide C/P ~ use deform/pick tool to fit image (if needed)

7. To drop shadow main tube, draw a selection around tube that sits above element 28 ~ right click on layer palette ~ promote this selection to a layer
Deselect. D/S as desired. This avoids a dropshadow on the reflection below the tube.
Add elements of choice:
element 36 (wordart) ~ 587 px
element 8 ~ 210 px
element 16 ~ 210 px ~ duplicate ~ resize 75%
element 30 ~ 136 px ~ duplicate ~ mirror ~ arrange to make one flower
element 10 ~ 120 px wide ~ place on top of black flower
D/S each flower

If you wish to resize image, do so now using smartsize.

8. Add copyright, URL, watermark and name using alpha resized 15% or less.

9. Delete white background ~ merge visible ~ save as a PNG.

Font used is Filigree, a payfont

* * * * *

1. Open the cluster frame, resize to 630 px wide.
Using the selection tool, point-to-point, draw a selection around the periphery of the frame.
Add a new raster layer, flood with gradient of choice using colors from your tube.
Deselect. Move this layer below frame on your layer palette.
Add texture of choice to the gradient layer using Filters Unlimited 2.0 ~ paper texture of choice.

2. Open tube C/P above the gradient layer but below frame.
Using magic wand selection tool, click outside of gradient layer. Select tube layer ~ delete. Deselect.
If using same tube, apply Xero ~ Porcelain standard setting or 50, 128, 128, 0, 0, 255.
Adjust ~ brightness/contrast ~ clarify ~ strength of 3.
Drop opacity of tube to 77.

3. Add new raster layer, arrange to bottom. Flood fill with gradient 45 degrees, repeat 0 using colors
foreground #3c4e62, fill color #c6d2dd
Open mask, minimize. Layers ~ new mask layer ~ from image ~ find mask 'n apply.
Merge group. Resize masked layer 105%. Duplicate. Merge down.
Duplicate masked layer 3 times for a total of 4. Rename layers mask1, mask2, mask3, mask4.
Apply effect add noise ~ uniform, monochrome setting 43 to mask 1.
Apply same noise to mask 2 but change setting to 50.
Apply same noise setting 57 to mask 3.
Apply same noise setting 36 to mask 4.
Close off mask 4, 3 and 2.

4. Add name using fill color #c6d2dd sz 72. D/S 1/1/95/1 blur color black.

5. To add copyright in curve as in reference tag, select eclipse tool ~ choose circle, create on vector, width 4,
foreground color black, fill nil, draw a circle beyond periphery of frame. Center to frame. Do not convert to raster layer.
Select text tool, (i used font Mr. Keningbeck sz 26) in same color blue, type copyright information by clicking cursor in top center of vector circle. You should see crescent shape on 'A' of your cursor.
Center lettering by using spacebar. When happy, click on + sign next to text on the layer palette, close off bottom circle layer.
Select text vector layer, pull down the center top 'node' on the working image to flip the text upside down, then 'mirror' the text.
Right click on text and convert to raster layer.
Well done! :+)

To animate:
Be sure mask 4, 3 and 2 are closed and mask 1 is open.
Select tube layer
Using EyeCandy 5 ~ texture ~ texture noise
setting as below:

Apply noise. Edit ~ copy merged
In A/S, paste as a new animation.
Back to PSP, undo noise effect to tube layer. Close off mask 1, open mask 2.
Apply texture noise again to tube layer by clicking random seed once. Apply.
Edit ~ copy merged ~ paste in A/S after current frame.
Back to PSP, undo noise. Close off mask 2, open mask 3. Repeat noise to tube layer by clicking random seed again ~ apply.
Edit ~ copy merged ~ paste in A/S after current frame.
Back to PSP, undo noise. Close mask 3, open mask 4. Repeat noise to tube layer by clicking random seed again ~ apply ~ edit ~ copy merged
Paste in A/S after current frame for a total of 4 frames.
In A/S, select all ~ view animation. If happy, change animation properties to opaque white or black.
Optimize using optimized octree. Save as a .gif.

1. Open a new transparent image 700 x 650 px. Flood fill white. We can resize later.
Add a new raster layer. Select all.
Open paper 10, copy 'n paste INTO the selection. Deselect. Sharpen.
Open Vix_mask350, minimize. Image ~ new mask layer ~ from image ~ find mask ~ apply. Merge group.

2. Open embellishment 3, resize 80%, C/P.
Duplicate. On original layer ~ gaussian blur setting of 2.
Add embellishment 27 ~ 80% C/P to left ~ duplicate ~ mirror ~ flip.
Open embellishment 10 ~ 80%. C/P as a new layer. Move to left. Rotate with deformation tool (pick tool). Sharpen.
Duplicate ~ mirror. Offset slightly upward.

3. Open basket of choice ~ resize 12%. C/P.
Add main tube of choice. Resize. C/P.
Brighten tube using brightness/contrast ~ clarify setting of 3.

To erase bottom portion of tube, magnify your workspace with center wheel of your mouse to 200% or more.
To better visualize basket, drop opacity of your tube layer to approx 50% on your layer palette.
Using selection tool, point to point, draw a selection around fingers and bottom of pants that you wish removed. Delete. Deselect.
See below:

NOTE: *Remember to increase opacity of tube layer back to 100% when done*

4. Add embellishements of choice. Colorize embell 30 using 'color changer' tool. Change foreground to # 8ac93a. Flood fill brown ribbon with green foreground color.
C/P above basket layer but below tube. Add:
Embellish 29 ~ 45%
Embell 15 ~ 80%
Embell 16 ~ 75%
Embell 11 ~ 80%
Embell 6 ~ 80%

5. Add wordart of choice. D/S all your elements using 1/1/55/5 blur color black.
If you wish to resize, do so now.

6. Add copyright, URL, watermark 'n name.

For name use a lime green foreground color, baby blue fill color. Font sz 72. Stroke width set at 1. Anti-alias smooth.
Type name. Convert to raster layer. Select all ~ float ~ defloat ~ modify selection contract by 1. Apply favorite inner bevel setting. Deselect.
Using EyeCandy 4000, gradient glow apply a small yellow glow to name.
D/S using 2/2/55/5 blur color black.

Voila! You're done!

1. Open a transparent image 700 x 650 px. Flood fill white.
Add a new raster layer. Select All.
Open paper 3 'n paste into the selection. Sharpen. Deselect.
Open becky_mask023, minimize. Layers ~ new mask layer ~ from image ~ find mask 'n apply.
Merge group.

2. Open element 1 ~ 75% C/P below masked layer.
Open frame element 2 ~ 75% ~ mirror. C/P above masked layer.
Select all ~ float ~ defloat ~ invert.
Open border element ~ 20% C/P as a new layer. Place over bottom edge of frame ~ delete. Deselect.
Using Lighten/Darken tool on left sidebar, right click with mouse on this border along the outside edges
to darken, giving the appearance the border is wrapping around the frame.
Merge down to frame. D/S frame using 4/4/35/5 blur color #404040.

3. Add other elements of choice. D/S each.
Using rectangular selection tool, draw a rectangle selection beyond inside of frame.

Add a new raster layer.
Open background image of choice or the one provided.
Copy image and paste into the selection. Deselect.
Move this bg below frame but above your masked layer. Sharpen.

4. Add main tube of choice. D/S.
If using same tube, use brightness/contrast ~ clarify ~ setting of 3. Apply twice.
This helps to brighten/lighten the tube.

If you wish to resize, do so now.

5.. Add copyright, URL, watermark & name.
I used font Seawave ~ sz 72, anti-alias smooth, direction ~ vertical, kerning -200.
Fill color white. Adjust kerning to fit your name if needed. Adjust width by pulling in side vectors.

Duplicate.
Add a light D/S 1/1/55/5 blur color #404040.

6. Delete white background. Merge visible. Save as a PNG.

1. Open element 32 (the sunsational wordart), resize 85% with all layers unchecked.
Move the wordart slightly downward.

2. Open element 16, resize 85%, C/P as a new layer below the Sunsational wordart.
3. Open paper 2, C/P as a new layer. Move to bottom.
Add a new raster layer above the paper layer ~ select All.
Back to the paper layer, choose Image ~ crop to selection.

4. Still on the paper layer, crop using crop 'merged opaque'.
Open mask, minimize. Layers ~ new mask layer ~ from image ~ find ginasgem_mask5 & apply.
Merge group.

5. Add flowers of choice.
Element 5 ~ 7%

6. Drop shadow all elements using 4/4/55/4 blur, color black.

7. Add copyright, URL, watermark & name.
I used different colors from the wordart to colorize each letter.

Add your favorite inner bevel setting. D/S.

8. Merge visible. Save as a PNG.

* * * * *

1. Open up a new transparent image 700 x 660 pixels and flood fill white. You may always resize later.
Add a new raster layer ~ select all ~ open paper of choice. I used paper 4 'n paste INTO selection. Deselect. Sharpen.
Open mask supplied. Minimize. Layers ~ new mask layer ~ from image ~ find chas33mask. Apply. Merge group.
Resize 95%.Open the rope frame, resize 75% C/P. D/S using 4/6/35/10 blur, color black.
Open the heart frame, resize 80% C/P. D/S
Back to rope frame, erase any part of the rope that you do not want showing through the heart frame.

2. Add other elements of choice resizing either 40 or 50%. D/S.
See reference tag.

3. Draw a point-to-point selection around the heart frame.
Open paper 9, resize 80%. C/P as a new layer. Delete excess.
Move this below the heart frame.
Do not deselect yet.
Open paper 7 resize 80%. C/P as a new layer above the previous paper layer. Delete. Deselect.
Change the blend mode to 'soft light'.

4. Above your paper layers but below your heart frame, type the words "MAY ALL YOUR WISHES COME TRUE"
with font FFF urban, sz 8, color black fill, alias off.
Convert to raster layer. Object center to canvas.
Using plugin mura's meister ~ copies ~ use tiling preset but change gap to 2. Apply.

Open mask 20/20, minimize. Layers ~ new mask layer ~ from image, find mask 20/20 'n apply to your wordart layer.
On your layer palette, duplicate the mask then merge the group together.
Lower opacity to approx. 76%.

5. Add main tube of choice. Duplicate. Move copy tube layer above heart frame, leaving
original tube layer below heart frame. Close off copy tube layer.
Using point-to-point selection tool, draw a selection around the heel of her foot 'n delete.
Do same for copy of tube layer but lower opacity of this tube layer to better visualize where tube lies on heart frame layer.
Draw your selection ~ delete. Deselect. Remember to increase the opacity of your tube back to 100%.
D/S your copy tube layer same setting as above.

6. Duplicate your top copy tube layer. On duplicate layer use
Xero - Porcelain ~ standard setting except change blue channel setting to 0 and increase green channel setting to 137.
Apply.

If you wish to resize do so now using 90% smartsize.

7. Add copyright, URL, and watermark,
Add name using alpha supplied. I colorized mine with hue 69, saturation 117.
Resize all the alpha 75%. Using selection tool, draw a selection around letter of your name.
C/P as a new layer. Do this for each letter in your name.
Merge down each letter in your name, then D/S using 4/6/35/4 blur.

Move your name above the heart frame but below the top two tube layers.

Voila!

Plugins: EyeCandy 4000 ~ Gradient Glow
Template by myself found HERE

* * * * *

1. Open a new transparent image 700 x 650 px. Flood fill white. We can resize later.
Open embellishment 15, resize 80% twice. C/P as a new layer, moving to left 'n upward.
Using selection tool ~ point-to-point, draw a circular
selection beyond the inner opening of the element. Open paper of choice, resize 600 px wide.
C/P as a new layer. Invert selection ~ delete ~ deselect. Sharpen
Move the paper layer below the rainbow circle layer.

2. Open my template. C/P as a new layer. Select all ~ float ~ defloat ~ invert.
Open paper of choice, resize 700 px wide. C/P as a new layer ~ delete ~ deselect.
Rotate this layer 30 degrees to left. Sharpen. D/S with setting desired or 1/1/45/ 5 blur, color #202020.

Close original template layer.

3. Add two main tubes of choice. Resize one smaller than other. D/S both.
Add other elements of choice or see reference tag.
I resized most at 80% or 80% twice. Have fun with the elements to make your tag original. D/S as you go.
Add glitter elements 5 & 6 above the white background layer. Do not D/S.
Add sparkles above your main tube layers.

4. To add our wordart, use pen tool ~ draw freehand, foreground color black, fill color nil
line style solid ~ width 2 px. draw a freehand curved line starting left, above rainbow circle moving right.
click on text tool, select Kaileen sz 72, fill color of choice. find crescent shape on the pen line you just drew,
type out "you got to have friends..."
Apply.
On layer palette, click on +sign, this opens the layers. click on the eye of the new path layer. This closes the curved path line you drew.
Convert your vector 1 (text layer) to a raster layer by right clicking on the layer palette.
Center as desired. Use an inner bevel to accentuate. I used bevel 2, width 31, 16, 16, -16, 6, angle 315,
intensity 40, elevation 90, color white. D/S.

5. Add name in fill color of choice. Apply inner bevel as above.
Using eyecandy 4000, gradient glow, apply a glow in color of choice, using glow width 3, corners 0, 100 opacity,
Fat setting but move right paint arrow slightly towards middle.
D/S

If you wish to resize tag, do so now using 90% smartsize.

6. Add copyright, URL and watermark.

Delete white background layer. Merge visible and save as a PNG.

1. Open a new transparent image 700 x 600 px. Flood fill white. Can resize later if desired.

Open element 11 (pillow), resize 25%. C/P as a new layer.

Move to left 'n bottom one third of working image.

Duplicate ~ mirror.

Duplicate original again, duplicate ~ mirror.

Arrange in a horizontal row.

Use pick tool to rotate pillows slightly to left or right.

Sharpen if rotating.

2. Element 31 ~ 80%. C/P. Rotate 25 degrees to left.

To rid of hard edges on feathers, use your eraser tool,

set to Fuzz Soft setting, erase the hard edges for feather effect.

3. Add element 32 ~ 65%.

element 44 ~ 75%. Move below pillow layers and slightly to left. Duplicate ~ mirror. Place as reference tag.

element 37 ~ 60%.

element 40 ~ 24%.

Note: No dropshadows were added, except a very soft D/S to umbrella.

4. Add main tube of choice. Resize of necessary.

Duplicate ~ adjust blur ~ gaussian blur ~ 1 ~ change blend mode to softlight. Drop opacity to 50.

On original tube layer, apply Xero ~ Radiance setting: 21, 33, 21, 224.

Sharpen this layer ~ Adjust Sharpen ~ unsharp mask ~ radius 1, strength 50, clipping 1

luminance unchecked.

Adjust Brightness/Contrast minus 20, 1 respectively.

Add D/S of choice to original tube layer only.

5. Add wordart supplied. Resize. Add effect desired.

If you wish to resize tag, do so now.

6. Add copyright, URL, watermark and name.

Delete white background, merge visible and save as a PNG.

1. Open a new transparent image, 700 x 600 px. Flood fill white.

Open embellishment 07, heart cluster, C/P as a new layer. Image rotate 10 degrees to right. Sharpen.
Using point-to-point freehand selection tool, draw a selection around the periphery of the cluster to mimick a heart shape.
Add a new raster layer.
Open paper 02, resized to 600 px wide. Copy 'n paste INTO the selection. Deselect.
Adjust ~ blur ~ gaussian blur of 3. Move this paper layer below the heart cluster on your layer palette.

2. Open embellishment 09 (cloud), resize 75%, C/P as a new layer on upper left of paper. Duplicate cloud 'n moving down 'n to right.

3. Add tube of choice. If using same tube, resize 85% smartsize.

4. Customize tag with embellishments of choice:
embellishment 06 ~ 45%,
embellishment 05 ~ 50% and one at 40% (add a nice inner bevel to the butterflies as below):

embellishments 22, 24 & 25 ~ 100%
embellishments 34 & 36 ~ 75%,
embellishment 37 ~ 50% (duplicate ~ mirror & flip) C/P below paper layer
embellishment 45 ~ 50% (duplicate as many as desired, resizing if desired)
embellishment 53 (wordart) ~ 75%.

5. Add copyright, URL, license #, watermark 'n name.

Note: If you wish to make Name as in reference tag, choose fill color # d43764, font of choice, sz 36 px,
choose vertical 'n left as direction of font, kearning set at minus 400, anti-alias smooth, create as vector
Type name ~ apply but do not convert to raster layer, instead click on + sign on layer palette, right click on layer with your name on it (ie. layer below vector layer)

select 'convert text to curves' ~ as character shapes
Look on layer palette and click on + sign beside your name, this will open each letter on individual layers. Click on first letter of your name (bottom most letter) and rotate the deformation
slightly to left. Rotate each letter as desired. Using this method also allows you to bring the letters closer together vertically if needed.
When happy with letter placement, change the - sign beside your name to +, then select the Vector layer and right click, choosing 'convert to raster layer'.
Add a very light D/S of 0, 0, 69, 2 blur color # b33050.

6. Delete white background, merge visible and save as a PNG.

To commemorate my 100th tutorial, I wanted to share with you the result of a Christmas contest I held in a forum I belong to. New Tutorial ~ Merry Christmas

Corel PSP X2 or any version thereof.

1. Open a new transparent image 650 x 650 pixels, flood fill white if desired.

Add a new raster layer, select All
Open paper 5, copy 'n paste into the selection on your working image.
Open Monti's circle mask, minimize.
Layers ~ New Mask Layer ~ from Image ~ find the mask (source luminance checked) and apply.
Merge group.

2. Open element 29 (xmas tree) and C/P. Move to right hand side.
Open bridge, resize 65%. C/P to left side of tag.
C/P shrub found in supplies.
C/P wagon wheel. Resize 65%.
Using pick tool (deformation tool) on the wagon wheel, hold down 'shift' key and with cursor, click on node on left upper corner,
drag inwards to simulate wheel is at an angle (see reference tag).
Mirror wheel 'n place as desired.

3. C/P main tube. Place so she appears to be sitting on rail of bridge.
Duplicate tube. On original tube layer, use affects ~ blur ~ gaussian blur ~ radius 3.
This affect is in place of a drop shadow.

4. Add other elements of choice.
Deer 60%, plough 75%, single poinsettia 25%.
To change color of poinsettia, adjust hue 3, saturation 245.
Then adjust brightness/contrast ~ clarify ~ strength of 3. Apply twice.

Optional: to add 'snow' to deer, poinsettia or your tube, use EyeCandy 5 ~ Nature ~ Snowdrift
on the preset Small, first flakes. Apply.

5. To add wordart layer, choose topmost layer, use font Windsong, sz 48. Fill color # 8c0f03.
Type "Merry Christmas". Image rotate 12 degrees to left.
Object align ~ center in canvas.
Convert to raster layer.
Using Mura's Meister ~ copies ~ setting ~ tiling. Apply.
Using same mask as earlier, apply mask to wordart layer. Merge group.
Move this layer down, just above the paper masked layer, below tree.

6. If you wish to resize tag, do so now using smartsize.
Add copyright, URL, watermark & name in same color as above.
Delete white background if you added one, merge visible ~ save as a PNG.

Or if you wish to animate:

7. Close white background (if you added one),
Edit ~ copy MERGED
Paste in Animation Shop as a new animation.
Duplicate frame for a total of 10 frames (to match # of frames in snow animation).
Edit ~ select All ~ select Propagate Paste.

Open snow animation of choice in A/S.

Note: I supplied two snow animations, one is square. Perfect if using a white background in forums.
One snow animation is circle-shaped to match the mask used in this tutorial.

Open snow animation, edit ~ select All ~ select copy.
Drag frame 1 of snow animation over frame 1 of tag.
Preview animation by choosing 'View'.
If happy, change animation properties to Opaque ~ white or color of choice.
Optimize ~ save as as a GIF.

* * * * *

1. Open a new transparent image 700 x 650 pixels, flood fill white. We can resize later.
Add a new raster layer ~ select All
Open paper 13 ~ copy ~ paste into the selection ~ deselect.
Open mask of choice ~ minimize. Layers ~ New Mask Layer ~ from Image ~ apply mask (source luminance).
Merge group.

2. Open lace1, C/P as a new layer above masked layer.
D/S 1/1/45/4 blur color # 202020.

3. Open frame2, C/P as a new layer.
Rotate ~ free rotate 90 degrees to right.
Using magic wand, select inside of frame ~ modify selection ~ expand by 10.
Open paper 12, resize to 600 px. C/P as a new layer below frame.
Invert selection ~ delete ~ deselect.

3. Open ribbonwrap2. C/P as a new layer above frame. D/S.
Open blings1 ~ resize 50%. C/P as a new layer. Move to left. Duplicate ~ mirror.
D/S both bling layers.

4. Open main tube of choice. C/P as a new layer. Resize. Sharpen.
Place on top of ribbon wrap.
Change blend mode to Luminance (l).
D/S 1/2/45/9 blur color # 202020.
Duplicate.

5. Add any other elements of choice.
Feather 50% ~ mirror ~ flip. D/S 1/1/45/4 blur color #202020.
Wordart of choice or one supplied.

If you wish to resize your finished tag, do so now using 90% smartsize.

6. Add copyright, URL, watermark 'n name.

Delete white background, merge visible & save as a PNG.

New Tutorial ~ Favourite Snow Tree

Optional: Eye Candy 4000 ~ Gradient Glow for name onlyFont used is Nocker found HERE

Download the preset shapes into your preset shapes folder.
Using file locations, direct PSP to locate the shapes folder.

* * * * *

1. Open new transparent image 675 x 675 px. Flood fill white if desired.
Open snow tree ~ 55% C/P as a new layer. Duplicate twice. Arrange. Resize one snow tree 90%.

2. Using preset shapes, find Star 4, foreground white and background nil, width set to 19 or 20 px.
hold the 'shift' key and draw
a shape approx. 672 x 572 px. allowing room on edges for drop shadow.
Convert to a raster layer. Arrange so preset shape is above the two larger snow trees but below the smaller snow tree layer.

3. Copy closeup of tube. Paste as a layer below your preset shape, arranging so face is peeking through the star shape.
Using point-to-point selection, draw a selection around star shape. Invert ~ delete the excess tube.
Do same for other large star shape, making sure the tube layers are below the preset shape.
Merge down the second tube layer to the first tube layer.
Apply Xero ~ Radiance to tube layer ~ 128, 50, 128, 255.
Duplicate this layer. Change blend mode to multiply and drop opacity to 76.

4. On your layer palette, arrange the smaller snow tree to sit on top of the preset shape, to the left.
D/S the preset shape 5/5/50/5 blur color black

5. Open red bell2, resize 25% & 50%. C/P as a new layer. Duplicate twice. Arrange as desired.
D/S 2/2/50/5blur black

6. Open main tube, C/P ~ duplicate. On duplicate apply same Xero ~ Radiance setting as above.
Drop opacity to 63%.
D/S main tube only 2/3/50/9 blur, color black

7. Open Sparkles ~ 80% C/P as a new layer above topmost tube. Duplicate. Arrange duplicate immediately above preset shape layer.

8. C/P wordart supplied above the bottom two snow tree layers.

9. Now to decorate your tag, draw different snowflake shapes, holding 'shift' key to keep shape uniform. Foreground nil, background white.
Draw out as many as desired. D/S 2/2/50/5 black.

If you wish to resize, do so now using 90- 95% smartsize.

10. Add your copyright, URL, watermark & name.
Delete white background layer.

Merge visible ~ save as a PNG.

1. Open a new transparent image 700 x 700 px. Flood fill white. We can resize later.
Add a new raster layer. Select All - open paper 15, copy 'n paste into the selection. Deselect.
Open mask, minimize. Layers ~ New Mask Layer ~ from Image ~ find mask ~ source luminance. Apply.
Resize mask 95%.

2. Open embellishment 33, resize 90%, C/P as a new layer above mask.
D/S 1/1/ 35/2 blur, color #202020.

3. Open embellishment 13, C/P as a new layer.
Open embellishment 18, resize 95% C/P as a new layer.
Selections ~ select all ~ float ~ defloat ~ invert
Open embellishment 45, resize 80%, C/P as a new layer
Delete ~ deselect.
Change blend mode of this wordart layer to overlay 'n drop opacity to 66.

4. Open embellishment 16, resize 80%, C/P as a new layer. Use pick tool (deformation tool) to rotate as desired.
Duplicate ~ mirror ~ flip. D/S 2/2/45/4 blur, color black.

5. Add embellishment 03, resize 75% ~ C/P. Using magic wand, click inside each of the four frames, holding 'shift' key
as you click. Modify selection ~ expand by 4 ~ invert. C/P image of choice or one supplied with tube and C/P beneath each frame,
Deleting excess image as you paste.

6. Add embellishments of choice adding D/S 2/2/45/4 as you go:
embell 08 ~ 35%, 40%
embell 08- 85%
embell 15 ~ 80%
embell 21 & 23 ~ 80%
embell 25 ~ 80% ~ duplicate
embell 32 ~ 60%
embell 34 ~ 100% (rotate with pick tool)

7. C/P main tube of choice. D/S 2/3/45/9 blur, color #202020.

If you wish to resize, do so now using 90% smartsize.

8. Add your copyright, URL, watermark & name.
Delete white background layer.

Merge visible ~ save as a PNG.

1. Load the mask09 into your masks folder 'n direct your PSP program to the same folder using File Locations.
Open the cluster frame, using crop tool ~ crop using Merged Opaque.
Resize 20% and then canvas size 750 x 650.
Move the cluster frame slightly downward on your canvas.

2. Using your selection tool, draw a point-to-point selection beyond the ship's wheel opening.
Open your close-up tube, C/P as a new later, align ~ invert selection ~ delete ~ deselect.
Move tube layer below cluster frame.
Duplicate tube layer. On duplicate, adjust blur ~ gaussian blur of 1 ~ change blend mode to soft light.
Sharpen the original tube layer only.

3. Add a new raster layer ~ move to bottom ~ flood fill white.
Open close up tube again ~ mirror ~ C/P as a new layer above white bg.
Layers ~ Load Mask from disc ~ find ArtmamaMask09
select source luminance, fit to layer and hide all mask.
Apply. Merge group. Move this masked layer so it appears her face is looking through the fence,
being careful to not cut off the top portion of the masked layer on your canvas.

4. Use selection tool, point-to-point, draw a selection around the glass bottle 'n starfish seen in front of the whiskey barrel.
Use the center wheel on your mouse to magnify your working image to help visualize area selected.
Promote this selection to a layer by right clicking on your layers palette.
Copy the main tube 'n paste as a new layer between the cluster frame and the promoted bottle layer.
Erase the small pumpkin at the end of her stick.
D/S the tube layer only using 4/4/65/4blur, color black.

5. Open wordart, resize 15%, C/P as topmost layer.
Select all ~ float ~ defloat ~ invert
Open paper R-C23 Addon Paper ~ resized to 500 px.
C/P as a new layer above your black wordart ~ align so two colors from paper fall with in the selection area (see reference tag)
press delete. Deselect.
Delete original black wordart layer. D/S the new wordart layer with same setting as above.

6. Do the very same process for your name. Using black fill color only,
sz 120 for first letter of your name and sz 100 for remaining letters, type your name.
Convert to raster layer. Select all ~ float ~ defloat ~ invert.
The scrap paper should still be on your clipboard so paste as a new layer. Delete. Deselect.
Delete original name layer and D/S new name layer.

If you wish to resize, do so now using 90-95% smartsize.

7. Add copyright, URL and watermark.

Delete white background layer. Merge visible, crop MERGED OPAQUE and save as a PNG.

Aiyeeeeee! You've created your new pirate tag!

This will be another quickie tut.

* * * * *

1. Open cluster frame. Resize 20%. Using crop tool ~ merged opaque ~ crop to approx size of 700 x 630 px. by stretching nodes on crop tool.
Add a new raster layer ~ move down below cluster frame. Select all
Open the Add-on papers PREVIEW ~ copy 'n paste into the selection. Select none. Sharpen.
Open WSL mask119, minimize. Layers ~ new mask layer ~ from image. Find mask 'n apply.
Merge group. Resize masked layer by 105%. Arrange slightly upward if needed.

2. Using selection tool, draw a point-to-point selection beyond the inside of the grapevine wreath.
Open tube of choice. C/P as a new layer. Using eraser tool, erase the bottom of the tube that extends beyond the cluster frame.
Duplicate tube. Move duplicate layer above the cluster frame. Erase any part of this tube layer that extends beyond the frame near bottom/sides again.
D/S using 4/4/60/4 blur, color black.

3. Personalize tag with elements of choice, adding dropshadow as you go.
Sock ~ 20%, statice (golden twig flower) ~ 20%, gold leaf ~ 5%,
element 27 ~ 20% ~ sharpen
element 21 ~ using selection tool, trace around the stem 'n delete. Deselect.
Resize 10%.

4. To add name, choose font, foreground closed, fill color black,
type name, image rotate 12 degrees to left.
Convert to raster layer.
Add affect noise ~ random, 43, monochrome.
Using eyecandy 4000, gradient glow ~ glow width 3, soft corners 0, overall opacity 100%
choose fat setting but side second color slider to middle, color #dbc27b. Apply.
D/S.

5. Add your copyright, URL, & watermark.

Merge visible ~ save as a PNG.

Voila!

New Tutorial ~ Autumn Delight

* * * * *

1. Open a new transparent image 700 x 600 px. Flood fill white.
Open element 66, the grapevine wreath, resize 85%. C/P as a new layer.
Using the selection tool, freehand point-to-point, draw a selection beyond the inside of the wreath.
Open paper 23, resize to 500px. C/P as a new layer.
Invert selection ~ delete ~ select none. Move the paper layer below the wreath.
D/S the wreath 2/2/69/4 blur, color black.

2. Open element 5, circled ribbon. C/P as a new layer. Image ~ rotate 90 degrees to left. D/S.

3. Open element 21, basket. Resize 60%. C/P as a new layer. D/S.
To make the girl appear to be sitting in the basket,
draw a selection using your point-to-point selection tool,
as below:

Promote this selection to a new layer by right clicking on the basket layer on your material palette.
Important: Lock the two basket layers together by choosing the layer link toggle on your material palette for both layers, changing the number to 1.

4. Open tube of choice. C/P as a new layer between these two basket layers.
Using your eraser, erase any of the tube that extends beyond the bottom/sides of the basket (not the top).
Duplicate the tube layer. Move the duplicate layer above the promoted basket selection layer.

To make her elbows appear to extend outside the basket,
avoid erasing her elbows by using the point-to-point selection tool and draw a selection
carefully around both elbows (you may magnify your working image by using the center wheel on your mouse to help visualize the area)
and continuing to draw around the bottom of the tube to delete, thereby unhiding the basket layer below.
D/S the upper tube layer using 2/3/69/9 blur, color black 'n ticking the drop shadow on a New Layer box.
Erase any undesired dropshadow with the eraser tool.

5. Now to personalize your tag, add any elements of choice.
element 19 ~ 25%, element20 ~ 25%, element23 ~ 50% (duplicate ~ mirror),
element17~ 45%, element18 ~ 75% (rotate 90 degrees left),
element28 ~ 100%, element (duplicate ~ mirror),
element32 ~ 75%, element34 ~ 80%, element40 ~ 100%, element44 ~ 75%,
element45 ~ 100%, element47 ~ 50%, element54 ~ 75%,
element50 ~ cut out individual leaves using selection tool, resize as desired.
element60 ~ 35%, element60 ~ 50%. Sharpen.
D/S all elements added using 2/2/69/4 blur, color black, making sure to 'untick' the shadow on new layer box.

6. Add element42 ~ 100% C/P as new layer above your white background layer. Move to top left.
Duplicate ~ mirror. Duplicate again ~ flip.
Rotate leaves as desired.
Do not D/S.

7. Add copyright, URL and name.
Delete white background layer. Merge visible and save as a PNG.

Voila!

1. Open the template. Shift & D to duplicate. Close original.
Resize canvas 700 x 600 px. Delete CR info.
Select rectangle 1, float ~ defloat.
Open paper 01. C/P as a new layer ~ invert ~ delete. Select none.
Apply FM Tile Tools ~ blend emboss ~ default setting.
D/S 4/4/69/4 blur, color black
Use this D/S setting throughout except on artist tube layers.

2. Select rectangle 2, float ~ defloat.
Open paper 9, C/P as a new layer ~ invert ~ delelte. Select none.Apply FM Tile Tools ~ blend emboss ~ default setting.

3. Select rectangle 3, float ~ defloat.
Open paper 11, C/P as a new layer ~ invert ~ delete. Select none.Apply FM Tile Tools ~ blend emboss ~ default setting.

4. Select rectangle 4 ~ float ~ defloat
Open paper 15, C/P as a new layer ~ invert ~ delete. Select none.Apply FM Tile Tools ~ blend emboss ~ default setting.

5. Select strip 1 layer, adjust ~ add noise ~ random, noise 43, monochrome checked ~ apply.
Do same for strip 2 layer.

6. Select rectangle 5 layer, using plugin jeux de lignes ~ entrelacement ~ 0, 0, 0, 2, 1, 255, 255, 0.

7. Select circle layer ~ adjust brightness/contrast -255/0 change color to black.
Add noise same setting as above.

8. Select dark circle layer ~ float ~ defloat
open paper 01 ~ C/P as a new layer ~ invert ~ delete ~ select none.

9. Select white circle layer ~ float ~ defloat
Open paper 15, C/P as a new layer ~ invert ~ delete. Do not deselect.
Open face tube of choice ~ resize if needed. C/P as a new layer. Arrange. Delete ~ select none.
Duplicate this tube layer ~ adjust ~ blur ~ gaussian blur 1 ~ change blend mode to soft light.
On original tube layer change blend mode to Luminance (l).

10. Select swirly shape layer ~ affects ~ add noise same setting as above.

11. Now to personalize your tag, add elements of choice.
embellishment 06 ~ 100%.
embellishment 15 ~ 50%, embellishment 43 ~ 45%. Duplicate 'n resize 70%. repeat.
embellishment 49 ~ 85%, embellishment 50 ~ 85% change Hue 244 Saturation 127.
D/S all elements added except artist tubes.

12. Open main tube of choice. C/P Duplicate ~ adjust blur ~ gaussian blur 1. Apply.
Change blend mode to soft light.
D/S original tube with 0/4/40/9 blur color black.

13. Add your copyright & watermark.

To add name as above, open font. Set foreground to black, stroke width 1.0
Resize paper 15 to 600 px. Minimize.
For background fill, choose pattern ~ find paper 15 ~ angle 0, scale 100.
Type name. Convert to raster layer.
Select all ~ float ~ defloat ~ modify selection ~ contract 1
Effects ~ Texture Effects ~ Texture ~ find wet fall leaves texture ~ sz 100 %, 0,1,0,0 color white, angle 315, intensity 50, elevation 30. Apply.
Sharpen once. Deselect.
Apply eyecandy 4000 ~ gradient glow. Glow width 3, soft corners 0, overall capacity 100%.
color white. D/S with favorite setting.

Merge all visible save as a PNG

2. Select raster 3 ~ float ~ defloat ~ invert
Open paper 06, C/P as a new layer ~ delete ~ select none.
D/S the frame above (Copy of Vector 2) with same setting as above.

3. Select raster 4 layer ~ float ~ defloat ~ invert
Open paper, resize 600 px wide, C/P as a new layer ~ delete ~ select none.
D/S Copy of Vector 3 layer (frame above).

4. C/P element 13, place as desired.

5. Select raster 6 ~ float ~ defloat ~ invert
Open paper 20, resize C/P as a new layer ~ delete ~ select none.
D/S white frame above this paper with same setting.

6. Select raster 7, float ~ defloat ~ invert
Open paper 24, C/P as a new layer ~ delete ~ select none.

Affects ~ add noise ~ random ~ 43 ~ monochrome.
D/S copy of Vector 1 (white frame above) with same setting.

7. Select raster 5 ~ float ~ defloat ~ invert.
Open Image of choice, C/P as a new layer ~ delete ~ select none.
Duplicate this image layer. On duplicate layer use affect ~ blue ~ gaussian blur of 1. Change blend mode to 'soft light'.
On original layer ~ affects ~ brightness/contrast ~ Clarify ~ strength of 3.
Open curly netting supplied above C/P as a new layer below your image layers. Do not D/S.
Add element 17, resize if desired C/P. D/S
On copy of Vector 4 (white frame layer), using brightness/contrast -255/0 respectively to change the color to black
Add noise ~ random ~ 43, monochrome. D/S

8. Select bottom layer, add a new raster layer ~ select All.
I chose a paper from Artmama's FTU Forever Fall kit found HERE
Open paper ~ copy 'n paste INTO selection. Select none ~ sharpen.
Open mask ~ minimize. Layers ~ New Mask Layer ~ find Vix mask 404. Source luminance. Apply.
Merge group. Resize mask layer 105%
Duplicate this masked layer ~ flip ~ mirror. Arrange.

9. Now to personalize your creation, add any other elements of choice
element 50, element 55 ~ 75%, element 25 ~ 75%.
D/S with same setting.
Add moon ~ resized 75%. C/P above masked layers.
Change blend mode to soft light and duplicate 2 or 3 times.

10. If you wish to resize your tag, do so now using 95% smartsize.

To add name to stone as seen above.
Choose font, close foreground, fill color of choice.
Type name. Convert to raster layer.
Use effects ~ cutout ~ 2/2/50/4
shadow color # 73674e. Fill with color unchecked. Sharpen.
Change blend mode to 'soft light' and duplicate 3 times.

11. Add your copyright and watermark.

Merge visible, save as a PNG.

New Tutorial ~ Glamour Chic

This tutorial is written for those with a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:

I am using Corel PSP X2 version but any version will do.

Tube of choice. I am using the lovely artwork of Robert Alvarado. You can purchase a license to use his work HERE

Plugins: Cybia Screenworks & Jeux de lignes ~ Entrelacement which can be found by googling.

Font used is TK Doodle, a pay font.

* * * * *

1. Open template, shift D, close original.

Delete credit layer, large star layer, circled wordart layer, and stars layer.

Resize canvas ~ 750 x 650 px ~ centered. We can always resize later.

2. Select the right red rectangle ~ select all ~ float ~ defloat ~ add a new raster layer

flood fill #282828. Deselect. Use Screenworks ~ Hollow dot setting ~ apply.
Delete red rectangle.
Do same for left red rectangle as above.

3. Select large circle layer, float ~ defloat,
open paper 7 C/P as a new layer ~ invert selection ~ delete ~ select none.
Delete original circle layer.

4. Open elegant frame, resize 75%. C/P.
Select black rectangle layer, float ~ defloat
open paper 10, resize 750 x 750 px, C/P as a new layer. Invert ~ delete ~ select none.
close original rectangle layer.
Using plugin Juex des lignes ~ entrelacement ~ apply 0,0,0,2,1,255, 255, 0
Effects ~ edge effects ~ enhance.

5. Select red rectangle layer, float ~ defloat ~ invert
open paper 1, using rectangular selection tool, draw a rectangle approx. the same shape
as the red rectangle, C/P as a new layer on working image.
delete ~ select none.

6. Select grey circle layer ~ float ~ defloat ~ invert
open Paper 6, resize 700 px, C/P as a new layer ~ delete. Select none.Open wordart supplied, C/P as a new layer above the paper layer.
Open white tool1, resize 85%, C/P as a new layer below the glittered filmstrip layer, moving slightly upward.
D/S 1/1/69/2 blur, color black
Duplicate ~ flip. Move below filmstrip layer.
See above tag as reference.

7. Draw a small rectangular selection around left window of filmstrip. Invert selection.
Open tube of choice, C/P ~ delete. select none.
Do this for each window of the filmstrip layer.
When all four tubes are in place, merge down to each other to make one tube layer.
Duplicate this tube layer. Apply same Screenworks ~ hollow dot setting to this layer.
Change blend mode to soft light.
Using adjust hue & saturation, 255/0, change color to grey/black.
Change bottom tube layer to Luminance (l).
D/S the black filmstrip layer & glittered filmstrip layer.

8. Open black pillow ~ resize 25%. C/P as many as you wish, resizing some as desired.
Resize lamp C/P as desired. Open dress stand, resize 60%, C/P as desired.

9. Open main tube of choice, C/P as a new layer.
Hue 255, Saturation 0.
Duplicate tube. On original tube layer, change brightness/contrast to -255/0 respectively.
Close off top main tube and move this black shadow tube layer slightly to right & upward.
Open top main tube again. D/S with 2/3/69/7 blur, black.

D/S all other elements 1/1/69/4blur, black.

10. If you wish to resize your tag, do so now using 90% smartsize.

Add your copyright, URL, watermark and name.

Merge visible, save as a PNG.

1. Open the frame from the sampler, resize 700 px wide. Resize canvas 700 x 700.

Open paper 7, resize 600 px wide. C/P as a new layer. Move below frame layer.
Save the mask in your PSP mask folder.
Layers ~ load mask ~ from disc ~ luminance checked ~ fit to canvas ~ hide all mask. Apply.
Merge group.
Using pick tool/deformation tool, resize the mask vertically.
Open the apple 3 wordart. Resize to 700 px wide.
Erase the very top 3 lines of the wordart. C/P
the wordart on top of the masked layer. Change blend mode to soft light. Opacity 52.

2. Draw a rectangular selection beyond the opening of the frame.
Open tube/image of choice, C/P as a new layer below the frame. Invert selection. Delete.
Change the blend mode to overlay.

3. Add elements of choice from Summers End Addon and Apple Time sampler.
greenery 25%, butterfly 10% colorized hue 30 saturation 139, missy sparkle trail1 80%,
element23 10%, bee 15%, string 25%, leaf 20%.
D/S 2/10/35/17 blur color black ~ all elements.

Using black fill, type name on leaf using favorite scrap font.

4. Add your copyright & watermark.

Merge all visible save as a PNG
or
if you wish to animate, undo the 'merge visible step'

5. On the masked layer, apply Greg's Factory Poolshadow
with setting 50,50, 50, 50, 50, 50, 30, 128.
Copy Merged ~ Paste in A/S as a new animation.

Back to PSP, undo poolshadow effect. Redo poolshadow changing the Intensity to 15.
Copy Merged ~ paste after the current frame in A/S

Back to PSP, undo poolshadow affect, change Intensity to 45. Apply
Copy Merged ~ paste in A/s after current frame.

Back to PSP, undo poolshadow affect, change intensity to 60. Apply.
Copy Merged ~ Paste in A/S after current frame.

Still in A/S, select All ~ change frame properties to 25.
Change animation properties to opaque white or color of choice.

Optimize. View animation. Save as a Gif.

1. Open a new transparent 700 x 700 px image. Flood fill white. Open frame of choice from kit. I used frame 04.
Resize if needed. Using magic wand, click in center of frame. Modify ~ expand selections by 25.
Open artmama background. Copy 'n paste as a new layer. Selections ~ invert ~ delete.
Move artmama background below frame layer.
Invert selection ~ do not deselect.
Open Red Cape Feather texture. Copy
Add a new raster on your working image, paste the feature texture INTO the selection.
Sharpen twice. Change blend mode to Hard Light.
Do no deselect yet. Invert selection.
Open close-up tube of choice. C/P as a new layer above texture but below frame. Move slightly to left. Change blend mode to Luminance (L).
Delete.
Open sparkles from kit. C/P above tube layer. Delete selections. Selections ~ none.
D/S frame only with 4/4/49/4 color black.

2. Now to personalize your tag, add any elements of choice.
hummingbird ~ 30%, doodle 02 ~ 50%, embellishment 06 ~ 57%, black feather ~ 75%,
flower 04 ~ 40%, flower 01 ~ 35%, greenery 03 ~ 60%, flower 02 ~ 50%,
flower 03 ~ 75 %, flower 06 ~ 75%, ribbon 02 ~ 70%, pearls ~ 100%
Duplicate 'n rotate flowers as you wish. If rotating flower using pick tool, sharpen once.

Irene's WordArt ~ 15%. Use brightness/contrast 255/0 to change color to white.

3. D/s all elements 2/2/49/4 blur, color black.
Add main tube. Duplicate. Change blend mode on duplicate to Multiply. Drop opacity to 47%.
D/S original tube layer 2/3/49/9 blur, color black.

4. Add tag element ~ 50%. C/P on top of aqua ribbon.
Rotate image ~ left 90 degrees.
Duplicate ~ mirror. Arrange as perfect as possible over bottom tag.
Using eraser, erase left half of top tag to create a tag as seen in Preview above. Merge down. D/S 2/2/49/4 black.

5. Add copyright, watermark and name.

Delete white background ~ merge visible ~ save as a PNG.

For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of being exposed to the various deviant artists online, periodically I'll promote an artist here that I feel worthy of recognition.

I wish to introduce you to Sylwia. A stunning artist and creator, Sylwia caught my eye several years ago when I was seeking a new artist for a contest I had hoped to enter. I don't remember anymore details but I will always remember her creativity which heartstruck me as breathtakingly beautiful.
In particular I'd love you to gander at one piece I found today which is typical of her style and grace.

1. Open template 2, Shift + D to duplicate. Close original template.

Delete top credit layer. Move the bottom glitter circle layer above the black rectangle layer.
Starting from the bottom of the template, merge down the thin pink rectangle layer to the thin blue rectangle layer.
Select All ~ float ~ defloat ~ invert
copy Paper 4 'n paste as a new layer, move left, press delete to remove excess, paste Paper 4 again, move to right, press delete to remove excess paper.
Select none. Merged these two pink papers together by merging down.
Effects ~ edge effects ~ Enhance.

2. On black rectangle layer, use Toadies ~ Rasterline ~ settings 250/255/241/0 ~ apply. D/S 2/2/40/5 blur, color black.
Find the dotted lines layer above the white bg layer. D/S using 1/1/30/3 blur, color black & Sharpen once.
D/S the Bottom Glitter Circle layer using 0/0/30/5 blur, color black

Select purple oval layer, select all ~ float ~ defloat
Close gradient on your material palette, find mcq flamingo ~ 36 degrees, repeats 1,
Add a new raster layer 'n flood fill with the flamingo gradient. Adjust blur ~ blur more.
Keep selected. Open two close-up tubes. Copy 'n paste each tube seperately as a new layer.
Arrange over center pink oval, move left, delete excess.
Copy second close-up tube and paste to right of oval 'n delete excess.
Copy a third tube (preferable one laying down) and paste near bottom of oval 'n delete excess.
Change the blend modes of all 3 tubes to Screen.
Select none.
If you wish to darken any tubes used, simply duplicate tube layer and change the duplicate blend mode to soft light.
Play around with different blend modes to match the tubes selected.

3. Select purple oval layer ~ select All ~ float, defloat ~ add a new raster layer.
Change foregound color to white on your material palette.
Place brushes in your brushes folder. Direct PSP to find the brush folder using File Location.
Select your brush tool, in drop down menu find FD 10_DY.
Change size of brush to 400 on tool bar, opacity at 100%, stamp the brush
all over the pink oval layer randomly. Deselect.

Close off the purple oval layer. D/S the gradient pink oval layer using 1/1/35/3 blur, color black 'n repeating using -1/-1.
D/S raster 2 layer and copy of Raster 2 layer using 1/1/35/3 blur, black.
Sharpen once.

4. Select pink and blue fill layer. Using brightness/contrast setting -255/0 respectively, changing color to black.
Select All ~ float ~ defloat ~ invert
Open first of five tubes, C/P as a new layer ~ arrange over square on left 'n delete.
Repeat this for each of the five small squares.
When done, merge down all these tube layers to make one layer.
Duplicate. Change blend mode to soft light.
On original tube layer use Xero ~ Radiance setting of choice. Use random button to change setting.

Select black frame layer, D/S 2/2/35/5 blur, black.
D/S pixel words with very light D/S of 1/1/30/3 blur, black or #404040.

5. Select lower stars layer, select all ~ float ~ defloat ~ add a new raster layer ~ flood the blue stars only with white.
Deselect. Back to original lower stars layer, erase the blue stars only. This will eliminate the faint shadow of the blue stars.
Now merge down the white star layer to the pink star layer.
Add noise ~ monochrome ~ uniform ~ 40. Duplicate 'n move duplicate layer below the black frame squares.
Delete the upper stars layer on your layer palette.
D/S the two star layers using 2/2/35/3blur, black

6. Add any embellishments you wish. Add two main tubes side by side on uppermost layer of layer palette.
Duplicate each tube separately. Change blend mode to soft light on duplicate layer.
D/S the original tube layers using 2/2/40/7 blur, black.

Add copyright, watermark and name.

Delete white background ~ merge visible ~ save as a PNG.

You're done!

* * * * *

1. Open template 21, delete the credit layer, the Summer wordart 'n Summer glitter layers.
Resize canvas size to 675 x 575 px. We can resize later.
Flood fill the empty space on the background layer with white.
Add a new raster layer. Selections ~ select All.
Open paper 41 from kit, copy 'n paste INTO the selection. Deselect. Image ~ flip.
Open Becky mask 009, minimize.
Layers ~ new mask layer ~ find mask in drop down menu 'n apply.
Merge group. Resize this masked layer by 110%. Sharpen once.

2. Select left large rectrangle ~ selections All ~ float, defloat ~ add a new raster layer.
Make a gradient with two colors from your tube. I used fore # f5c8be, bg # f56f7a.
Linear gradient 45 degrees, repeats 0. Flood fill this new raster layer with gradient.
Delete original rectangle layer.

Do same for the right large rectangle but inverting your gradient by ticking invert box on gradient menu.

Do same to right 'n left small circle layers but instead of using a linear gradient, choose the sunburst gradient using same colors.

3. Select bottom rectangle frame ~ select All ~ float ~ defloat ~ add a new raster layer ~ flood fill with color # fff8b2. Deselect.
Add noise ~ uniform ~ 64 ~ monochrome checked. D/S 2/2/45/5 blur color # 404040.
Delete original frame layer.

4. To add a noise frame layer to the two large rectangle layers, select a rectangle ~ select all ~ float ~ defloat ~ modify expand by 5 px.
Add a new raster layer ~ flood fill white ~ modify selection ~ contract by 6 and delete. Deselect.
Add noise as above. D/S.
Do same for other large rectangle layer.

On large circle frame layer ~ select All ~ float ~ defloat ~ add a new raster layer ~ flood fill # fff8b2. Deselect.
Add noise. D/S. Delete original white large circle frame layer.

5. Now to personalize your tag, add any elements from the kit as desired.
flower 12 ~ 100%
paper clip 7 ~ 50%
glitter flower 2 ~ 25%
ribbon 13 ~ 50%
pink sparkle 1 ~ 100 %
butterfly 3 ~ 25%
diamond string ~ 100%
fairy tube ~ 95%.

Drop shadow any elements as desired.

6. To add name as I have, use a linear gradient fill (foreground nil), type name. Image rotate 15 degrees to left.
Select All ~ float ~ defloat ~ modify selection ~ expand by 2 px. Add a new raster layer ~ flood fill white. Deselect.
Move this layer below gradient name layer. Add noise as above. D/S as above.

If you wish to resize tag, do so now using 90% smartsize.

Add copyright & watermark.

7. Close white background ~ select any tube layer ~ merge visible.
Save as a PNG.

Supplies Needed:

Two tubes of choice by same artist. I am using the beautiful artwork of Ismael Rac found HERE.

1. Open a new transparent image 700 x 700 px. Flood fill white. We can resize later.

Resize circle frame (element 6) 510 px. C/P. Duplicate. Resize duplicate 50%. Move to upper right corner.

Select large circle frame. With magic wand, click inside circle frame ~ modify selection ~ expand by 7.

Open paper 4, resized to 600 px ~ C/P as a new layer. Selections ~ invert ~ delete. Deselect.

Move paper layer below frame.

Do the same for the smaller circle frame.

2. Add a new raster layer above the white background. Selections ~ select All.

Open paper 1, copy 'n paste INTO the selection. Deselect.

Open mask 210, minimize. Layers ~ from Image ~ find mask in drop down menu ~ apply. Merge group.

3. Open main tube of choice. C/P above the paper layer of large circle. Align. Erase any part of tube extending beyond frame on bottom.

Duplicate tube. Move duplicate copy above the large circle frame. Erase the bottom edge of the tube that extends beyond the bottom of the frame.

Select paper layer of small circle frame. Select ~ All ~ float ~ defloat ~ invert. Open second tube of choice ~ C/P as a new layer ~ align ~ delete. Deselect.

Change the blend mode to Luminance L.

4. Now to personalize your tag add elements of choice on different layers:

Wordart by Jo-Hana ~ 540 px wide ~ colorize hue 255, saturation 255

Select black wording with selection tool ~ point-to-point ~ then change color to white using brightness 255/contrast 0. Deselect.

Element 16 ~ 20%

Element 13 ~ 7%

Element 14 ~ 9%

Element 15~ 10%

Element 21 ~ 20%

Element 23 ~ 11%

Element 24 ~ 20%

Element 26 ~ 20%

Element 32 ~ 20%

Element 34 ~ 16%

Rotate & sharpen any elements of choice.

5. To add name, use Weltron font sz 90 Foreground nil, background fill # f29289

Center horizontally to canvas. Convert to raster layer.

Using Filters Unlimited 2.0 ~ paper textures ~ select Japanese Paper ~ apply.

Select all ~ float ~ defloat ~ expand by 2 px ~ add a new raster layer ~ flood fill all the selections white. Deselect.

Move this layer below the color-fill layer.

D/S 2/2/25/5 blur color black & repeat.

6. Add a large, soft D/S to your elements 'n frame using 10/10/25/7 blur, color black.

If you wish to resize, do so now using smartsize 85 - 90%.

Add copyright & watermark.

7. Close white background layer. Merge visible and save as a PNG.

Scrap accessories of choice or a FTU kit called Lily of the Valley found HERE for a limited time!

Filters: Tramages ~ Pool Shadow

Eye Candy 4000 ~ Gradient Glow

EyeCandy 5 ~ Impact ~ Glass

Xero - Fritillary & Porcelain

1. Open template 192, Shift + D to duplicate. Close original template.

Delete top credit layer, white strip layers 1 & 2, center circle frame and 'Cute As A Button' & 'Sweet As Candy' wordart layers.

On 'Sexy As Hell' wordart layer, draw a rectangular selection around the word 'AND' and delete.

Delete the Sexy As Hell outline layer.

2. Select the Scribbled heart layer ~ move it to the left little box ~ Duplicate 'n move copy layer to little frame box on right.

See reference tag.

D/S rectangle frame 1, 2 and 3 with 2/2/39/5 blur color black.

3. Select small circle 1, use Xero ~ Fritillary ~ setting 5/30/50/45

use same setting for small circle 2 layer.

4. Select Large Circle 1 layer ~ select all ~ float ~ defloat ~ add a new raster layer and flood fill #f8bcc9. INVERT selection.

Open tube of choice. I resized tube 110% and sharpened tube using Unsharp mask ~ radius 1, strength 40, clipping 3, luminance only checked.

C/P as a new layer above large circle layer ~ center ~ delete excess. INVERT selection again.

choose Modify ~ select selections borders ~ inside ~ border width 5, anti-alias checked.

Add a new raster layer and flood fill with # df254c. Selections ~ none.

Add noise ~ random ~ uniform ~ 43%.

Do the very same with Large Circle 2 layer.

On tube layers, only apply Xero ~ Porcelain ~ standard setting or 50, 128, 128, 0, 0, 255.

5. Select Medium Circle 1 layer ~ selections ~ All ~ float ~ defloat ~ apply Tramages ~ Pool Shadow ~ 50, 50, 50, 50, 50, 50, 50, 130.

Deselect.

Apply EyeCandy 4000 ~ Gradient Glow with white ~ glow width 3, soft corners 0, opacity 100 ~ color white ~ choose Fat preset.

Do same with Medium Circle 2 layer.

6. Select black rectangle 1 layer ~ change color to white by using contrast/brightness ~ 255/0 respectively.

Do same for black rectangle 2 layer.

7. Select diagonal squares layer ~ change color to white by using contrast/brightness ~ 255/0

Selections ~ All ~ float ~ defloat

Open tube of choice ~ mirror ~ C/P as a new layer and center over top left square of diagonal. Invert selection ~ delete.

Deselect. Merge down tube layer to white diagonal layer. Sharpen using Unsharp mask setting as above.

Draw a selection around bottom left diagonal square 'n delete. (This will be hiden by main tube.)

8. Select Center Circle ~ apply EyeCandy5 ~ Impact ~ Glass as below:

9. Add any other embellishments from kit as desired, resized to your liking.

D/S all your layers except tube layers and scribbled hearts.

10. You may use the word art supplied if you wish. I chose to re-write it using Bank Gothic Light sz 30 px. Anti-alias Sharp.

Fill color # d52f4c.

Select ~ All ~ float ~ defloat ~ modify ~ expand by 2 ~ add a new raster layer ~ flood fill white ~ deselect.

Move this white layer below your word art layer. Add noise ~ uniform ~ 43% ~ monochrome checked. D/S.

Do same for each wordart layer you add and your name as well.

Change sz of font to 50 px for 'Sexy As Hell' wordart.

Change sz of font to 72 for name. For added affect, use Tramages ~ Pool Shadow on fill color layer for your name. (Not noise layer.)

11. Add main tube ~ Duplicate ~ change blend mode to soft light. D/S original tube layer only. Move main tube layers below "Sexy As Hell" word art layer.

Add copyright & watermark.

12. Select white background layer, add a new raster layer ~ flood fill with a gradient of foreground white, background #f8bcc9.

Choose linear gradient ~ 45 degrees, repeats 0 ~ flood fill layer.

Open mask 4, minimize. Apply mask from image. Merge Group. Resize 90 - 95%.

Close white backgrounds ~ select any tube layer ~ merge visible ~ save as a PNG.

Voila!

This is a forum signature/avatar tutorial.

Feel free to use any scrap kit, tube of choice.

* * * * *

1. Open a new transparent image 530 x 300 px wide or any size you prefer.

The avatar size is approx 125 x 125.

We will be making the signature tag. You can use the same idea for your avatar tag.

On your signature image, selections ~ select all.

Open aprilsun paper and using rectangular selection, draw a rectangle the approx shape of your signature image, as below:

C/P 'into the selection'. Selections ~ none. Sharpen.

2. Open the sun, resize 20%. C/P.

Open the wordart overlay. Resize 12%. C/P, moving slightly to right.

Open tree, resize 15%, C/P, moving to left.

Open flowers 5, resize 12%, C/P, moving to left.

Open flower sh, resize 5%, C/P as many as desired.

3. Open tube of choice, C/P. Drop opacity of tube layer to approx 47%.

Select wordart overlay layer 'n erase part of this layer that extends to the left of your tube so it appears to overlap with flowers 5 layer.

Add any other elements of choice.

4. Merge all layers visible. Add a new raster layer and flood fill with color # ffffcc.

Selections ~ select All ~ contract 5 px. Delete. Selections ~ none.

Add noise to this frame using monochrome uniform ~ 35. Sharpen.

Add a D/S of 1/1/59/4 blur color # 404040.

You may repeat this D/S with -1/-1/59/4 blur color # 404040.

5.. If you wish to add name as above. Use Bank Gothic Md BT, sz 40, alias ~ sharp. Foreground nil, background white.

Type name ~ Object ~ horizontal center in canvas.

Duplicate. Using Mura's Meister ~ Copies ~ select preset 'Line' ~ standard settings except change number to 5. Apply.

Drop opacity of this layer to approx 47%.

6. Add copyright & watermark. Merge visible and save as a PNG.

Apply same principle to your avatar.

Font of choice or one I used called Segoe Script, a pay font.

Remember my tutorial is a mere guide.

* * * * *

1. Open a new transparent image 625 x 625 px wide. Flood fill white.
Open the Raspberry Roads cluster, resize 600 px wide. C/P on working image.
Center as desired.
If using a dark background, the water ripple on the cluster has a hard edge on the left.
Simply use the eraser tool, sz 150, step 5, density 100, opacity 100 and erase this hard edge softly.

2. Open element 58, resize 550 px wide. C/P above white background.
Open element 40, resize 500 px. C/P. Drop opacity to approx 75%. Duplicate ~ mirror.
Move copy to right 'n slightly lower.
Open element 24 ( green house) resize to 400 px high. C/P

3. Open the lily pad element from the RP Add-On kit, resize to 520 px wide. C/P
Open the wordart of choice. resize to 450 px wide. C/P
If using a black background, you may use the wordart (recolored) below instead.
Just right click and save as, then erase copyright layer.

4. To personalize your tag, add any elements of choice, resized as desired.
I won't give you resize details as I'd love to see your creativity emerge here.

5. To add your name to cupped leaf as I have done, use the pen tool to draw a freehand curve following the spine of the leaf as seen below.
Select pen tool. On color palette, choose white for foreground, close background fill.
Select freehand on toolbar, tracking 10, create on vector, line style solid line, width 1 or 2, anti-alias checked.

Click on text tool, the vector becomes visible, move cursor over white pen line til you see a cresent-shaped 'A' beneath the cross-hairs.
Use font of choice, sz 26, alias ~ smooth, foreground color nil, fill color white, type name.
On the layer palette, the Vector1 will show up with a + sign next to it. click on this + sign and it opens in layers.
The white pen line is the bottom layer called new path, simply close it off, then right click on vector layer 'n choose convert to raster layer.
The pen line should disappear.
Add a nice D/S of 1/1/59/4 blur color # 004000.

6. Add copyright & watermark.

7. Close white background ~ select any tube layer ~ merge visible.
Use crop tool ~ snap crop rectangle to: merged opaque.
click on center to apply. Save as a PNG.

New Tutorial ~ Angel Of Mine

Supplies Needed:

I am using Corel PSP X2 version but any version will do.

Tubes of choice, preferably one with a face tube.

I am using the sexy artwork of Keith Garvey. You can purchase a license to use his work at MPT.

Angel of Mine Template49 by Punky Butts found HERE

Font of choice or one I used called Fair N Square found HERE

No filters required.

* * * * *

1. Open template 49, Shift + D to duplicate. Close original template.
Delete top credit layer and bottom blue strip layer.
If you wish to use a black background, add a new raster layer
above the bottom white bg layer and flood fill black.
Resize all layers to 650 px wide.

2. Open sparkles1, resize to 600 px wide. C/P as a new layer
above the black bg. Duplicate ~ mirror ~ arrange.

3. Arrange the hearts1 layer in straight line with hearts 2 layer, then merge down to each other.
Add noise ~ random ~ 45 ~ monochrome UNchecked.
Float ~ defloat ~ modify expand by 2 ~ add a new raster layer, flood fill white. Deselect.
Move white layer below hearts layer. D/S 2/2/50/5 blur, black.

4. Select dots layer ~ sharpen once.
Select heart right ~ adjust brightness/contrast to -255/0.
Do same for heart left.
On heart right layer, float ~ defloat ~ invert.
Open face tube, C/P as a new layer ~ arrange ~ delete ~ deselect.
Do same for heart left layer.

5. On each of the tube layers added, duplicate ~ adjust gaussian blur ~ 1 and
change blend mode on duplicate layer to 'soft light' and reduce opacity to 75%.
On right heart frame, add noise ~ same setting as above. D/S as above.
Do same for left heart frame.

6. Select large black center circle layer, using magic wand, tolerance 10, select black area only.
Modify selection ~ feather inside 15 ~ invert selection.
Open face tube again, C/P, arrange ~ delete ~ deselect.
This should nicely feather the edges of the tube.
Duplicate tube layer ~ adjust ~ gaussian blur ~ 1.
Change blend mode to soft light. On original tube layer, change blend mode to Luminance (L)

7. Select black center circle layer again, using magic wand, select the blue crescent area of this layer.
Selections ~ modify ~ smooth ~ both settings on 10.
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with color #f9aec5. Deselect.
Using effects ~ texture ~ weave ~ settings 1, 5, 6 color white and fill white. Fill gap checked.
D/S. Move this pink crescent layer above the two center tube layers.

8. Select the lil hearts layer. Duplicate ~ mirror ~ flip. Merge down.
Float ~ defloat ~ modify ~ expand by 2 ~ add a new raster layer, flood fill white. Deselect.
Move this white layer below the pink hearts. D/S.
Add noise to the lil pink heart layer if desired.

9. Select pbs wordart layer ~ using adjust brightness/contrast ~ +255/0. Add noise to this layer ~ D/S.
On blue wordart layer, adjust brightness/contrast to -255/0. Add noise ~ sharpen once.

10. Open main tube ~ C/P as a new layer. See above reference tag for placement.
Duplicate tube. Move duplicate layer BELOW both wordart layers.
Select main tube original layer and erase part of her left leg to make it appear she is stepping over the wordart.
Duplicate this tube layer ~ change blend mode to soft light.

Select the duplicate tube layer (below the wordart layers) ~ duplicate ~ change blend mode to soft light.
D/S the original duplicate tube layer only.

11. Add your name in pink color #f9aec5. Add noise.
Float ~ defloat ~ modify ~ expand by 2 ~ add new raster layer. Flood fill black 'n move
this layer below your pink name layer. D/S

Add copyright & watermark.

Close black and white backgrounds ~ select any tube layer ~ merge visible ~ save as a PNG.

home to Canada and took some time to recover

from an illness as well. I'm happy to return

with a New Easter tut and with one of Garv's new Easter tubes.

1. Open the eastereggs frame03a. Using the crop tool, crop to an approx.

rectangle size of 700 x 600 px wide as seen below:

2. Open round mask of choice or one provided, minimize. Layers ~ new mask layer ~ from Image find mask 'n apply.

Merge group. Resize this working image to desired size or approx 650 x 600 px.

Duplicate this layer 'n merge down to each other.

3. Draw a circular selection beyond the inside of this frame, modify expand by 4

copy face tube of choice, paste as a new layer ~ invert 'n delete. Select none.

Move the face tube below the masked frame.

4. Copy main tube of choice 'n paste as a new layer. D/S using 0/0/50/10 blur, color black

Add Happy Easter wordart, resized 45%. C/P as desired.

5. Add copyright, watermark and name.

If you added a white background, delete it, then

Edit ~ copy MERGED

and paste in Animation Shop as a new animation.

Back to PSP

6. To animate the eyes, duplicate the face tube and working on the duplicate copy, click on it.

Using the center wheel on your mouse, enlarge this working image to approx 300%.

Using the selection tool, point-to-point, feather 0, smoothing 0, Add mode,

draw a selection around around the white of the eye including some of the surrounding black

as seen below:

On your layer palette, promote this selection to a layer

then selecting the duplicate tube layer again, press delete.

Rename the promoted selection layer = left eyelid.

Do the exact same with the right eyelid.

(Remember to delete the right eyelid selection on the duplicate tube layer)

7.Merge the left eyelid layer with the right eyelid layer.

Selections ~ select ALL ~ Float ~ defloat ~ expand by 1.

Add a new raster layer and move this layer below the duplicate face tube layer.

Close off the two-merged eye lid layers.

Using two colors from the eye, make a 45 angle linear gradient (repeats 0) with the two colors from the eye area

and flood fill the selections. Select none. I used black foreground and #472733 for fill.

Adjust blur ~ gaussian blur ~ radius 1.

8. Return the working image back to 100% using the center wheel of your mouse.

If happy with the 'closed' eyelid appearance

Copy MERGED 'n paste in A/S after the current frame.

9. Still in A/S, copy the first frame and paste it after frame 2 for a total of 3 frames.

Change the frame property of Frame 1 and Frame 3 to 120.

Frame 2 will remain at the default setting of 10.

Crop ~ Options ~ surround the opaque area ~ Ok.

Change animation properties to color of choice. ie. white or black

View animation.

If happy, optimize octree and save as a .GIF

1. Open a new transparent image, 625 x 575 px. Flood fill white.

Open the cluster frame, crop MERGED opaque, resize 600 px wide

C/P as a new layer.

Draw a point-to-point selection beyond the book window. Add a new raster layer,

move it below the frame, and flood fill with #93a364. Keep selected.

C/P tube of choice. Invert selection 'n delete. Deselect.

Duplicate tube ~ Effects ~ Blur ~ Gaussian Blur ~ radius 3.

Change blend mode to soft light.

2. Add a new raster layer above the white bg. Flood fill with #93a364.

Open EBDMask52, minimize. Apply mask. Merge group.

Duplicate mask ~ merge down.

Open mask20/20, minimize. Apply mask ~ merge group.

3. Add antique roses, resized 50%. Add antique books, D/S 1/-1/45/4 blur, color black.

C/P wordart supplied adding it above the masked layer.

4. Add copyright, watermark & name.

Delete white bg, merge visible and save as a PNG

Supplies Needed:

Four close-up face tubes of choice.

I am using the sexy artwork of Keith Garvey. You can purchase a license to use his work at MPT.

Freebie Cluster Frame/Wordart called A La Faveur de l'automne by Fanette found HERE

Plugin: Xero ~ Radiance

Animation Shop

Font used is Aurora Script

* * * * *

1. Open a new transparent image, 625 x 625 px. Flood fill white.

Open the cluster frame/wordart ~ crop Merged Opaque ~ then resize 600 px wide. C/P, move slightly down 'n to right.

Using selection tool, point-to-point, draw a selection beyond inside of grapevine wreath.

Fill with paper of choice, or add a new raster layer and fill with color of choice. I used black.

Keep selection, making sure it's below frame.

Open four tubes, resize if needed, C/P each tube above black bg, invert selection 'n deleting for each tube layer.

Deselect. Apply Xero ~ Radiance ~ setting: 205/10/8/223 to each tube layer.

Rename tube layers, from bottom, tube 1, tube 2, tube 3 and tube 4.

If you wish to resize, do so now 85-90% smartsize.

2. Add copyright, URL, watermark and name

3. To Animate:

* Delete white background *

Close off tubes 2, 3, & 4, leaving tube 1 open, copy ~ MERGED

Paste in A/S as a new animation

Back to PSP, close tube 1, open tube 2, copy MERGED, paste in A/S after current frame.

Back to PSP, close tube 2, open tube 3, copy MERGED, paste in A/S after current frame.

Back to PSP, close tube 3, open tube 4, copy MERGED, paste in A/S after current frame.

Now working in A/S only,

copy frame 1 and paste it after frame 4. You now have 5 frames in total.

Select frame 1, Effects ~ Insert Image Transition ~ Fade, setting below:

click OK.

Select frame 7, apply image transition fade, same settings

Select frame 13, apply image transition fade, same settings

Select frame 19, apply image transition fade, same settings

You should have a total of 25 frames in A/S.

Cntrl A to select all frames, change animation properties to color of choice or color black.

Also, change frame properties to 25.

Click on Frame 1, change frame property to 30. Select Frame 25, change frame property to 30.

Click on Frame 7, change frame properties to 60. Do same for frame 13 and frame 19.

View your animation. If happy, optimize and save as a .gif.

Tip: if your animation is too large in file size, you can Cntrl A (select all frames)

and under animation, cull animation to read

" remove 1 frame for every 5 "

resulting in a total of 20 frames instead of the original 25.

Remember to cull your animation BEFORE optimizing.

Open the cluster frame ~ crop Merged Opaque ~ then resize 600 px high. C/P as a new layer.

Add a new raster layer, using selection tool, draw a point-to-point selection just inside the outer edge of the frame.

Flood fill with #a91b23. Deselect. Use plugin Cybia ~ Screenworks ~ Hollow Dot setting.

Move this layer below frame.

2. Open masked wordart by Nae, colorize white by using Adjust Brightness/Contrast 255/0 if using a black bg or 'as is' if using a white bg.

C/P as a new layer above your background.

Drop opacity to 66.

3. Open tube of choice, C/P as a new layer above the hollow dot layer.

Using eraser tool, carefully erase the bottom portion of tube that extends beyond frame.

Duplicate tube ~ move this tube above frame 'n erase any parts of the tube that you want behind the frame.

D/S the original tube layer 1/-1/59/blur 7 color black

4. Open Jaelop wordart ~ resize 450 px wide.

Using selection tool again, draw a selection around the black wording 'Made With Love' ~ right click on layer within layer palette 'n promote layer to a selection.

Do not deselect yet.

Back to original wordart layer, press delete. Deselect now. The wordart is now in two seperate layers.

Select the "LOVE" wordart layer ~ colorize ~ Hue 254, Saturation 185 and brightness -20/ contrast 0.

C/P the LOVE wordart on your working image.

C/P the Made With Love wordart and place as desired.

5. Add copyright, URL, watermark and name

Delete white background, merge visible and save as a PNG.

Grunge brushes of choice. I don't know where I found the brushes I used

but HERE is a link with some Grunge PSP brushes that are very similar

Plugin: Mura's Meister ~ Copies

Font for name is FFF Urban found HERE

This will be another quickie tut for you!

* * * * *

1. Open a new transparent image, 625 x 575 px. Flood fill white.

Open LOVE wordart, resize 600 px wide. C/P.

2. Open tube of choice, C/P on top of wordart. Arrange.

When happy, duplicate tube layer. On original layer, adjust ~ Blur ~ Gaussian blur ~ radius 3.

3. Open flower, resize 15%. C/P. Duplicate ~ resize 75%. Duplicate again. Arrange behind wordart layer.

4. Open swirled brush element from kit, resize 625 px wide. C/P as a new layer above white bg.

Add a new raster layer and apply grunge brushes of choice

in colors #e79bc3 & # d34e92.

5. Open butterfly, resize 10%, C/P & rotate with pick tool as desired. Sharpen once.

6. Select uppermost layer, using FFF urban font, sz 10, foreground nil, fill color # d34e92

type your name ~ object ~ align ~ center of canvas ~ convert to raster layer.

Using Plugin Mura's Meister ~ copies ~ tiling setting: standard setting except change Tile Gap to 2. Apply.

Open heart mask of choice or WSL_mask 10, minimize.

On name layer ~ Layers ~ New Mask Layer ~ from Image ~ find WSL_mask10 ~ apply.

Move this masked name layer on your layer palette above the white bg.

If you wish to resize your tag, do so now using 90% smartsize.

7. Add copyright, URL, and watermark.

Close white background, merge visible and save as a PNG.

New Tutorial ~ Love Yourself

This tutorial is written for those with a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:

I am using Corel PSP X2 version but any version will do.

Four tubes of choice by same artist. I am using the sexy artwork of Gennadiy Koufay. You can purchase a license to use his art at CILM.

Optional Plugin: VM Natural ~ Sparkle

Font for name is Caramel Crunch ROB, a payfont.

1. Open the cluster frame ~ resize to 600 x 600 px.

Add a new raster layer, flood fill white, move below cluster frame.

Add a new raster layer above the white bg, flood fill with color of choice or #b08ea7.

Open mask, minimize. Layers ~ New Mask Layer ~ from Image ~ find gemsmask127 'n apply.

Merge Group.

Optional: use plugin VM Natural ~ Sparkle ~ setting: 13, 255, 255, 255, 255, 142.

Offset cluster frame slightly to left.

2. Using magic wand, tolerance 10, feather 0, click inside each of three small frames,

holding down the shift key while clicking inside the next frame.

Modify selections ~ expand by 10 px.

Add a new raster layer ~ flood fill with color of choice or #b08ea7. Do NOT deselect yet.

Move this layer below the frame. Open three tubes of choice, place one in top frame

Selections ~ Invert ~ delete.

Do the same for the next two frames, making sure tube is below the frame layer.

Selections ~ none.

3. Select the last tube layer you added, merge down to previous tube, merge down again to last tube layer.

All three tubes are now on one layer. Duplicate this layer ~ Adjust ~ blur ~ Gaussian blur ~ radius 3.

Change the blend mode to soft light.

4. Add main tube of choice. If using same tube as above, using selection tool ~ freehand ~ feather setting 25

draw a jagged free selection around the bottom edge of the tube ~ delete ~ selections none. This nicely feathers the bottom of the tube.

5. Add wordart ~ Adjust Brightness/Contrast ~ 255/0.

D/S 1/-1/39/5 blur color black.

If desired, resize your tag at this point, 90% smartsize, all layers checked.

6. Add your copyright, URL, watermark and name.

Merge all flatten ~ save as a JPEG or delete white bg ~ merge visible and save as a PNG

Hope you like your new creation!

Remember this tutorial is merely a guide. Use of other tubes,

colors, supplies is greatly encouraged. :=)
